    Call shotgun out on what? All that was said is there are inconsistencies and that is the basis of skepticism. There was no 'I accept this data, not this data'. You can't change your oppositions argument to discount their statement.

    When you ask: How much do you know about cell phones? Medications? Automobiles? Energy production?
    You're missing entirely why those are invalid examples. This is because all those items predictably work every time. The same is not even slightly true of AGW.
    Tell me prediction data from 10 years ago is spot on for this year and you have an argument. Respond with how I just don't understand global climate because I didn't take organic chemistry, then all you're offering is cool-aid.

    Apparently I need to simplify my statement for you. My formal education isn't in science. My degrees are in History and my occupation happens to be technology now.
    You see, that's how worthless people like you win arguments in your own mind, try and pretend your the only one with any education or knowledge. Do you understand now or should I post this on your myspace account with all the 4 year old children who's opinion you apparently revere (see I can play your games as well, anyone can and that's why it's worthless drivel).

    Obama isn't corporate as you are making him out to be. He is fascist in his policies so far, so if that's what you mean I guess that can be our common ground. (and as always I'm not calling anyone a Nazi or Hitler)

    As far as saying that MSNBC, CBS, CNN and other such news outlets are conservative is just insane.

    Ah, so because I don't buy the theory (er, sorry fact) that an island reclaimed by the sea is because of man made climate change resulting in rising sea levels that only rose around the island and not the surrounding shorelines...I'm the crazy one?

    Your right on one thing. I don't have enough education. Well, in science I don't have enough education. I do have quite a bit of education in history and history is just full of pompous people like you. You think you know better than me, not because you always question yourself, but because you dismiss those you deem unworthy.

    Science is mans quest to understand the world, not mans un-appendable facts about the world.

    The US media is mostly liberal, not conservative and anyone acknowledges that if they are intellectually honest. These media outlets supported Obama in the election and support him now.
    The health care bill is a pile of shit and that's why Democrats couldn't get 60 votes and why they had a hell of a time getting a simple majority(again, Democrats not wanting to sign on to the bill).

    I'll just say that the speech that you disagree with most is the speech needing the greatest protection. That's not always easy, and the extent to which a people of law try to obtain those ends is a measure of their desire for a free society.

    Chavez uses Pablo Escobar tactics when it comes to the poor. They are just a means to his absolute control. Speech should be protected at all costs and anyone that works in the opposite direction of that goal has their own agenda.

    All this comment says is it's okay to stop free speech out as long as you can label it as something other than 'free speech'. Also, since other countries are worse off it's fine to continue on the path of a full dictatorship. Oh, and anything that is wrong with the situation in the first place the US is to blame for since we don't let them freely import cocaine to our streets.

    Everyone was having fun until the climate change evangelist showed up.
    I mean has anyone even looked into exactly why water covers more of the island now? Have the coast lines reflected the same gain? Is the island sinking under it's own weight?
    I know I'm killing everyone's climate change buzz by asking some basic questions, but it's not my fault the climate change evangelist made me do it.

    Actually health care was a major part of the discussions. One or two of the founders was a doctor, set up hospitals where they lived. Look it up yourself, you seem to need to read a few facts anyways.

    So let me get this right, the constitution doesn't matter, but the bill that congress just passed does? As soon as the constitution doesn't matter all law is void since all rights or limitations come from the constitution.
    The constitution provides ways to change it, rule of law not tyranny. I'm afraid you are one of those people that only get that 'ah fuck' moment when someone from your own political views is about to put a bullet through your head.

    The problem is your friend is in California lives in a state that has the most liberal policies in the US. Pelosi, the one pushing this US health bill, represents California. There are states that have much much better health care systems. The problem is that now the entire nation will be moving in the direction of the same type of problems that California has.

    Wrong. This will only breaks it further, it fixes nearly nothing and cost trillions we do not have. Not to mention that this was passed by one political party, without regard for the constitution and against the vast opposition of the majority of the American people.

    You didn't even see your train of thought and you exposed yourself with that comment. Your first reaction was if you came to the US to get insurance, so someone else can pay for your medical needs. All I meant was that you could get the care you need, when you need it.

    What is it with people thinking they are entitled everything. If I had to choose between saving my life resulting in a $50,000 medical bill, or death I would welcome the medical bill.

    I would guess you are from MA. I would say from experience that the most independent people I've met live in NH. That could be bias since I don't spend much time in MA and have actually met most MA people in NH.
    I would say that I'm not a libertarian, but would find most libertarian arguments compelling. I think the only way to reign in government is to take a lot of their money away and make them cut unnecessary spending or fail to provide basic services. When I've lost my income before I was amazed at how well I could budget the money I did have.

You must be one of those idiots that thinks medicine and medical technology just magically appears and no company invests millions upon millions to research and develop any of it.     Now I'll stop, because I know you don't want to have a real discussion all you want to do is put anyone down that doesn't think like you... Like a real intellectual...

    You could make this argument for just about anything that is considered private sector. What you are talking about is fascism, and I don't mean that in the 'your Hitler' kind of way. A private industry being directed nearly fully by government. Basically a government ran private sector.

    I would stop using the term "tea baggers" if you want to be taken seriously. The term is a spiteful sexual derogatory term to put that group of people down. Tea Bagging means to drop ones scrotum on anthers face - hence tea bagging.

    Public option is just the start of single payer. That is what Obama has stated may times in the past he wants, this bill is an attempt to remove itself from single payer enough to get passed, but the thought is it will bring everyone one step closer to single payer.

    I don't want single payer or a public option, but that's my take for what it's worth to you.
