Everyone knows they're being hoarded, this isn't news. There just aren't that many people that do regular business with places like Silk Road, and need them.
Things like Tems and other local currencies have a built-in maximum currency value so that it prevents people from hoarding things.
Building something like that in to a generic currency is a little bit harder though, but it would have likely led to it becoming more useful overall. Perhaps Bitcoins trying to replicate common currencies is a mistake. Who knows.

It is no different to a normal currency.

In this case, Steve Ballmer is one of the biggest investors.
Which may be why Microsoft sucks so hard, the owners still own the company and StevieB was the sales guy.
yeah, hence:
Base each patent cost on the entities' current revenue, heavily penalize them after a certain threshold.
Yeah so it kills off patent trolls.
Win win.
Well when they transfer the patent, tax the fuck out of the transaction (to match what it would have cost if they'd just patented it outright).
Don't hate the player, hate the game.
We need to make it much harder for big companies to just mass patent everything they can.
It should cost much more for Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google, IBM, etc to file a patent vs an individual tinkerer in his home.

Yep, fuck boxee!
Nork has built some kind of poor mans nuclear bomb but they have no way of delivering it.
But "MediaGoblin"???
Really?
Fuck!
I swear Slashdot gives mod points to dumbest fucking people.
No, I actually hacked Larry Page's gmail account and found this in there.

The parent poster is the visual studio troll asshole.
(Just saying)
My Good Friend Jared,
It would be a shame if your constituents found out about all this hentai porn you've downloaded from the Internet.
Perhaps you should send my friends at the FTC a letter explaining how their current views of Google are untenable.
*Strokes white cat*
Dearest Regards,
Dr. Larry Page
That's awesome bro
Yeah, removing user/customer freedoms to increase safety is totally the way to go.
Didn't some famous guy say something about that?
Netcraft confirms it, Android is the new Windows.
I, for one, welcome our new open source overlord!
Also there's Vista, named after Steve Ballmer's daughter, Vista Ballmer.
QtCreator is awesome.
I'm saying you're a fucking retard.
Oh man, you mean you hate being required to learn how things work?
I hate that too. :)
Gee where can I learn this magic "assembly" language.
You realize it's not a language but a type of language, right?
