  2. Hotmail admin's don't GUI on Take This GUI and Shove It · · Score: 1

I remember a few years back when Microsoft took over Hotmail and converted all those FreeBSD servers to Windows Servers, they had an article interviewing one of the lead admin's for hotmail. He stated that there was no way they could GUI their way through all those hotmail servers, so they scripted everything at cmdline for the Windows Servers. I think their experience lead to more cmdline options within Windows to cover stuff that formerly only been GUI.

    See, even Microsoft does CLI.

One old school programming thing was learning how to multiply in 6502 (C64 and others) machine language which didn't have a multiply instruction available. It involved doing bitwise math instead of costly addition loops.

When I first saw the phrase " ... which secretly installed to the command and control center of the computer."
I immediately thought of Tron and the the 'Master Control Program'.

I think we need Flynn to go back in there and de-rez this SecuROM program with a quick throw of a disc.
