Even before the Patriot Act was enacted HIPAA is giving the government free access to our health information. Funny how the MBA droids in healthcare drone on and on about the privacy afforded a patient's medical records, but are deathly silent on how this law gives up our health information to the government on a silver platter.
I seriously do not get this ungodly zeal for hiring 20-somethings to run the IT world. Time for the Sesame Street crowd to step aside for those who could construct a website that was actually user-friendly.

You went straight to the CEO about this, so where was your immediate boss while this was going on? Talking to the man upstairs might make you feel good most likely won't accomplish anything other than causing tensions in the workplace.
Use this experience as a valuable lesson for another job. Learn everything you can here. Hell, take on as much responsibility and work with this as much as you can, be a highly valued employee. Don't have anyone trained to do what you can do.
