Welcome to the club man. Maybe it's time to do some patches to mythtv to make sure that at least 1 Star Trek recording gets through, can't be that hard to get the damn thing to figure out which recordings are mine and which are hers and do some load balancing...
but I'm still the only one with root passwd on my mythbox.
As soon as you start charging money for your work it will become insanley boring.
