Actually, the fact that it "only" works in urban areas is just fine. GPS more or less works everywhere, but one place it definitely can have issues is in urban areas with a lot of high-rises. You add in something like this, and now you have a backup for when GPS fails. Thus, your iPhone can almost always figure out your location, which is the whole point.
but it's nice to see that, although Windows Vista is constantly getting railed on, once someone not exposed to it actually sits down and sees what can be done, they're not intimidated by it.
Perhaps it's time for a commercial about Linux Sahara?
What strikes me as interesting is that Facebook thinks they can sell your photos you upload. IANAL, but I am pretty sure that unless I explicitly transfer the rights over to them I maintain all ownership and copyright control over any photos (that I took myself) uploaded to them.
I don't think a blanket EULA can revoke my right to the copyrights. Am I wrong here?
The difference is that prior versions of Picasa up till 3.0 were not marked as beta software. The download page for Picasa 3.0 beta even has a link back to 2.7, which tends to indicate that this software truly is 'beta' in the normal sense.
