Microprocessor? that was in 1989. It was thrown out and he kept taking them to court, meanwhile he claims 'patent pending' and extorted royalties out of companies. Which he keeps even after the courts agreed with the patent office.
I mean, a patent for the microprocessor in 1989? come on.
He also patent the 'Kernel'... in 1996
And he owes the taxes, and it's still in court, and he will probably loose.
This guy uses courts like a club.
He tries to patent things that are just ideas, and then sues everyone when denied.
I wrote detail response to you crappy and misinformed post, then I got to this: "If you claim there is - you need to claim that every 4 year-old faced with the problem of making a lego model that looks like something is an inventor. It's plugging obvious blocks together in obvious ways."
And I realized you are just really too dim, or unable to think outside a preconceived narrative for it to be any good.
Looka t his inventions and their timing. 1996 - Patents the Kernel 1989 - Patents the microprocessor.
A little late to the game, don't you think? Oh, but when he gets denied, it turns into a large court case where he continually files for appeal, WHILE collecting royalties. And then when he loses he stop collecting royalties; which he doesn't have to pay back.
Read some of his patents. He is the original patent troll. One who submits patent for things that exists, and then extract royalties from companies while it's "Patent Pending".
This Licensing = trolling is a ridiculous definition of patent troll. One that got the patent office to change in a way that is far worse for the small time no money inventor.,
Most likely they are tired of him taking him to court every time the deny something of his and our just sitting on it. Of course this is GIlbert Hyatt, so there might not even really be a patent, and its near certain that f there is a patent, it's more of an idea and nothing that's actual working. It's like he grabs whatever is starting to become well know, lists what it does, and the applies for patent.
Gilbert Hyatt is a patent troll of the worst kind. His patent are always overly broad and best described as 'Ideas' He uses the courts like a club, and intimidates people. When ever he gets a patent denial(often) he makes the patent office spend million in court, and he usually looses. If not always.
This is a guy who,in 1990, submitted a patent for a micro controller. He claims to have invented the microchip, in 1990. It was latter overturns, but he got millions in royalties and, surprise surprise, didn't have to pay to back.
Is anyone asking why is is suing after 43 years and not, say 30? or 20 years?
And sending a signal to control something has been done for 100 years. This article is just GIlbert Hyatt attempting to bully million out of people.
And? It's ANOTHER way to have children. Bonus, there children will be healthier to, and so. Clearly this woman want to have a child with her genes. It's almost like she's some sort of a mammal
Just so you know, you are the one on the high horse. You might want to look up what that means.
Actually it does. W can look at the US's own history for this. Through the 70s, prisons were corrective. they where nicer, people were treated humanly, and they had program so when the person got out, they had opportunities. Recidivism rate were low. Then Reagan era republicans started pushing hard for privatization of prisons.
Which lead to those company pushing for longer sentences and the BS 3 strike laws. They are also the reason for the myth of 'Advocate Judges'
You should stop. Just stop. Clearly you don't know anything about the topic at hand and you are making a fool of yourself.
Reforming them s always better. Even if they don't get out of prison, having them be a calm member is safer and healthier. There are people in for life that have nothing to do with safety.
Why you think being in for life means they'll do anything for kicks is baffling. Maybe you're the type of person who attacks people for kicks?
What you are talking about is a tiny percentage of those currently being held in solitary. If someone is always attacking people, they have mental issues and should be treated as such.
"In fact, often the threat of solitary is the ONLY thing that keeps some prisoners from doing this."
There is nothing a crew can do now if attacked by pirates. So it kind of makes your point moot. And they know exactly where those ships are, so it's not like their going to sneak off with one.
I will. There are a lot of good reasons to have an official language. Costs, same expectations, safety, I could go on. The french take it too far. It's why I think that in order to get a license, or use some services, you should be able to communicate to some degree in English.
The US is spending many billions of dollar trying to make every in every language.
Just to be clear, this is about using some government service, and driving. If you want to put all your store signs in Klingon, for all I care. well... I would go to that store, but the point stands.
" or event that they are significantly more likely to die in 5 years." Yes, it does. That's specifically what this is about. Of course, this is just the first paper, and it's the second paper that's the most important.
AH yes. That same person was probably saying how the city sucked 15 years ago.* I am really sick of people bitching about their city/town condition, and then when change happens to bring in money, lower crimes, etc... The then bitch that things are changing.
I think they are just people who don't know how to make plans so they feel left out. People who can't make plans are general lower educated and tend towards violence as a solution. Statistically, not absolutely.
*Yes, it's a strawman. I am using it this person as an example for an overall trend I have seen.
"How well do you think that would be tolerated, especially if it was not directed at an immediate group of friends and short lived? " happens every day all over the place. Just with Cell phones. Many of which you can't tell are recording. "Would you be surprised if someone got up and knocked the camera out of their hand? Verbally berated them? Pushed them?" Yes I would. Most people are civilized enough to go to the manager/bar tender and ask them to have the person turn off the camera or that they are leaving.
Nope.
The early mp3 player where drag and drop. Connect to computer, drag music onto device.
The first iPod where only useful on Mac with iTunes.
Of course they moved to windows, but you still need there precious application to use it as designed.
Clearly, you have let Apple dictate your narrative.
I see what you did there.
I'm watching you...
Unless it impacts what they want, then they are a bunch of whiny crybabies.
What no more lead bullets! your taking our rights away! you hate us! wont some thing of the people who kill things they don't own!
Look closer.

Look at this submission from 1989. It's list of idea about how a microprocessor works.

Or this one form 1996 about how a kernel works:

" if only the other unintelligent masses would follow."
FIFY
" We really don't need anywhere close to 7 billion people on this planet."
based on..what?
"until you find out 400 years later that the new gene has a self destruct sequence."
MORBO: "THAT IS NOT HOW GENES WORK!"
since probiotic yogurt does nothing, then you want have much of a case. IT's all dead before it gets to your intestine.
a great opportunity for women like that.
Also a great step forward to removing genetic diseases from the gene pool.
Actually it does.

That's not actually correct.
Well, sometime it's too late, and some times it's genetic, and yes sometimes it's a donut based issue.
Ah, so when someone threatens you you should immediately stop and behave like they want to otherwise they are justified in beating you up?
I think everyone whose house you fly over should have to give you written permission before you can do so. If you crash you could kill someone.
"just stop pointing your camera at me. "
No. Stop dictating what harmless activity I can do in public.
" and wouldn't stop when asked."
So if I have a device and I am just showing it to someone you can force me to stop showing it to that person? Really?
How about a piece of art that makes me uncomfortable, would you have to put t ways becasue I don't like it?

Simple solution, don't attack people just becasue they are doing something they have the right to be doing.
