    "die" - "to cease to live; undergo the complete and permanent cessation of all vital functions; become dead."
    Or possible in this case: "to cease to exist" literally.

    You use a scenario where the best way to survive is killing others. Pretty pathetic.
    The people around need to be brought together and work for survival.
    Train how to do that safely, and you have chance at long term survival of the tribe/species.

    Ignoring the fact you don't actually no much about the examples you give, lets look at the big picture.

    In all case, after, say 100 people get it, people become aware that something is wrong and then take action.

    so it survives the gut, not easy, gets into the blood system, then infects the brain?

    Zombies are only a threat in a magic world were infects are instantaneous, and the walking dead don't rot, and no one takes action.

    None of them include the people watching the corporations and the state. None of them include the rest of the world, none of them have multiple channels of disseminating information.

    They are all great thought experiments for closed systems. We do not live in a closed system.

    1984 doesn't apply here, and i wish people mwould try to understand the book.

    Single group control of information was the issue in 1984. Something that doesn't apply becasue everyone can use a camera. You can record the police, there are many avenues to disseminate the information. Both of which make 1984 and the memory hole a minor problem.

    I have, but apparently you have not.

    I can record, store it locally, and/or on the could. I can distribute it through many different systems, or create my own distribution network.
    The Cloud is not centralized, that's the point.

    I think all the number represents is that SOME drugs shouldn't be on the list. Marijuana being the obvious example.

    of course you do. you ALSO use education. We are talking about drugs where one bad decisions by a 15 year old will destroy his life.

    that 's a broad statement, do yo base it on anything? Just a heads up, the 20's prohibition did exactly what it set out to do. Domestic violence all but disappeared. Crime in general dropped dramatically.

    he is correct. It has to go through Apple. I needs to meet Apples arbitrary corporate 'standard'; which includes many subjective things, such as 'we thing there are enough apps of this type'. Plus, creating an app on an iPad has a much higher barrier to entry then other systems.
