That's not for the good of society. Not at all.

There was a time where rehabilitation is the primary focus. Recidivism was lower, people get skills to function in society.
It s was cheaper and safer for everyone.

But the privatization of prison gave incentive to companies to spend money to get longer sentences, more crimes, and cut rehabilitation.
3 strike is harmful to society as a whole, but through a massive advertising and political backing form private companies and prison guard unions everyone now has this stupid, ignorant and mean attitude of 'just throw the in prison and they get what the deserve' is harming society.

BTW, you can find TF2 servers with the Birthday mode turned on; which I actually enjoy more the n the blood. It cracks me up when my character explodes in balloons, streamers, and a trike wheel.

HL 2 had an interesting story. I never ran into any bugs, so I can't comment on that.

it most certainly can be if we don't stop emitting greenhouse gasses. The trapped energy will increase with more greenhouse gasses. If we don't stop and work on lowering it, then it won't stop.

Now, we can do it using science, and brains, and engineering and planning. Or we can stop because the earth no longer supports humans.

Cost is irrelevant when dealing with complete collapse. The longer we wait, the more aggressive we must be.
