    There where several theories for evolution, but they fell way as more and more data became available. Worth nothing more now then a mention in an historical context. Creationism/ID had never had scientific merit.

    Gravity is a fact.

    The details is worked out through improving the theory through testing.

    Gravity is a fact. Developing theories and testing them lead us to things falling at the same rate.

    Theories explain a fact.
    Gravity is a fact. The theory for gravity explains that fact with the available data.
    Same with Germs, and Evolution.

    Gravity is a fact: the theory of gravity explains that fact.
    Germs are a fact: Germ theory explains that fact
    Evolution is a fact: Evolutionary theory explains that fact.

    It's mot detailed then that, but I doubt you would bother to read up.

    One side Science, data, evidence, predictions. The other side, A book of letters piecemealed together.

    There is no controversy, and when the opposition response boils down to "Oh Yeah?" there is no debate.
    This is a wedge to kill science that disagrees with a poorly interpreted allegory that's thousands of years old.

    There is no reason to think /. is 'smarter'. Really, if you are interested in what smart people thing about this, there are sites of actual experts in the field. A genius Software Engineer is no more insightful to something outside her expertise then any one else.

    Best buy will take care og them as well. That said, Costco does have a kick ass return policy. SInce I get rewards from costco, I would by a big ticket item there, if they had the one I want.

    The Irony here is that Costco does the same damn thing, except they get you info when you sign up.

    Seriously, using costco as an example when talking about taking personal information?

    Best buy needs to decide what they are, and then focus on excellence in that area. Right now they are trying to do everything in the home. And in doing so they tend to have mediocre prices for everything.

    no. Barring the upper limit and excluding theoretical quantum device, the other bar keeping speeds stagnant is the fabs.
    Fabricating the level of density without leaking is very hard.
    Fabs are very ex[pensive to built.
    Add to the the consumer need for faster clocks has tapered off, it's not worth the expense of massive retooling.

    When they can get the metal well below 1 part per billion in the fabs, and create a process to minimize wafer breakage for wafer being cut so precisely, then we may see a doubling of clock speed 2 more times. Then that will be it.
