What is unhealthy is that they are likely to want the real thing eventually. Take for instance the straight male that gets one of these - it may placate him when he gets randy but it is only going to increase his appetite for more. hat makes you think a pedophile would be any different?

  2. It would do fine on Why Oracle Can't Easily Kill PostgreSQL · · Score: 4, Interesting

Postgres has a diverse group of contributors so it will be absolutely nothing like Oracle acquiring MySQL. Sure it would be temporarily damaging to the project if Oracle did go out and buy the leading contributors but I can't imagine that Oracle would get away with such predatory actions. FTR I believe that Oracle genuinely wants to use MySQL as s competitor to SQL Server in the bottom of the market.

  3. OpenSolaris is more supported on OpenSolaris Or FreeBSD? · · Score: 4, Interesting

When it comes to things like flash, acroread, nvidia drivers, fluendo (multimedia plugins, DVD Player), skype etc being supported, having the commercial entity behind OpenSolaris does seem to help...I think behind the scenes Sun offer some sort of incentive to these companies to support OpenSolaris. I do like that FreeBSD is backed by a foundation though, it is much more reassuring to an open source project to know that its backing entity wont dump them the next day.

Thats OK then, they can keep on using their Pulse on top of ALSA. Please do not put it anywhere near OpenSolaris and our beautiful OSSV4 Audio!

TFA doesn't call this out at all - does this update the Mac version only or is Windows also at 3.2?
