I don't live in podunk, so maybe I'm outside the problem scope.
The Apple maps features BLOW GOOGLE MAPS out of the WATER.
No more cut'n'paste from Maps and Yelp or Browser. All the actions I want are on my destinations tab.
Routes are calculated turn-by-turn in POV - like a real TomTom or in dash navigator. With voice, while my music plays or my call is streamed to bluetooth handsfree.
And it's certainly accurate in San Francisco - but maybe not in the USA, where you probably live.
I remember Alias Wavefront, my child. Maya dropped MIPS/SGI, but OSX is definitely supported.
Adobe isn't in the business of supporting any sizable market outside of design-oriented content creators. They still veer HARD to OSX. That is where the market (high end) is.
And good-looking women can get themselves better jobs than air-waitress.
Really, the whole industry REALLY sucks for the employees. They are generally in it for fringe-travel benefit. Flying for your profession has lost the glamour of its first 60 decades, and even pilots are now more like Greyhound operators with more braid.
First they name a building, or recognise a day in your honor.
This is the inevitable prelude to destroying everything you'd ever done or stood for.
I guess so. 030 and 040 Macs were what was replaced, tho. :-)
FAT binaries!
Cos' it's really NeXTStep.next .
Is that an Iris in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me? :-)

Google sucked.
Maya? Really?

Now I KNOW the objection is spurious.
It only took you 7 years. :-)
When you going 64-bit?
Cook is a goof, when you use Jobs as a benchmark.
But he's far from Gil Amelio.
This possible transition has a heritage at Apple - and has been executed almost flawlessly in the past.
"My guess is it's just to fuck with people"
I'm glad you still categorize Intel as "people". :-)
Most designers use Win machines?
You live in bizarro world.
I meant "68040". :-)
Remember numeric co-processors?
That's now why you have a GPU.
Float away, baby.
And then the MACH kernel could be abstracted on something that looks like a Type-1 hypervisor with NUMA for VMs.
It could get weird and cool. Like Plan9 in a box...
It is possible. I don't expect this, tho.
Just like project "Marklar", for those with longer memories...
Remember history. When Apple shifts, it is dramatic and FAST. (64000, PPC, x86).
"BGP, I choose YOU!"
Using Mac power-level, vs iP* voltages.
Then you also get alternative/thin boot of iOS.
Doable. Quickly. See you in 2014.

I want to know why "Hand's" is apostrophized.
Punctuation is like seasoning! Adding more improves the flavour!
Syrian Rebels ^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H Al Qaeda.

But the Libyan "rebels" were Al Qaeda imports, too. Just the distortion field of western corporate media makes this "Arab Spring" bullshit.
I think HP gives Ballmer a left-testicle just to have drivers packaged with Windows.
I don't think that meets the HP bar for a rounding-error.
They are directed by broadcast, not point-to-point.

They are paid about the same, too.
