In terms of hours used, my Cr-48's been my primary computer since around the time I got it a year ago. I just can't beat its combination of "just works"[1] and coming back from sleep to live connection in about 5 seconds.
[1] Now that they've fixed the touchpad driver and some crash and rendering bugs.
that's odd. my windows and osx machines never had these "touchpad driver and some crash and rendering bugs" and they also return from sleep in chromeos fanboy! boy, that's new!
because firefox fucked up, big time. also, because you simply can't escape the chrome adverts. they're on tv, roadside billboards, all over the web, on the fricking walls of metro trains! and its been like this continuously for longer than a year now. i simply can't get it out of my head: "chrome fast"
too expensive:( and they stop selling older models as soon as a new one is relesed. this is bullshit at another level. i wanted to buy a nexus but the price of galaxy nexus is simply unbelievable! and i would have been satisfied with nexus s too (or even nexus one), at a reduced price (like iphone). but google says no.
Google did not destroy Apple's place in the market. The big loser to Android was Symbian, which was phased out by Nokia and held the top spot when Android came out, not iOS.
You must also keep in mind that all iPhones are high-end smartphones whereas Android powers quite a number of budget devices.
this. android wants to compete with iphone, but actually it is in the process of squeezing out low and mid tier cellphones. while iphone reigns supreme at the high end.
Now, all I do is, when I hear someone complain about politics, I ask them "did you vote?" And if they go "no," I simply walk away and that person is simply dead to me forever more and I have zero respect for them.
that might be a bit of an overreaction, don't you think?
yeah, it sometimes even wakes from sleep, reboots, force closing all your apps and waits at the login screen. next time you open your laptop, it takes ages to start because its actually doing a fresh boot, and all your work is gone.

there's no law here that allows that kind of censorship. this guy (kapil sibal) has been quietly talking to google and facebook and asking them to censor whatever he says is objectionable. understandably, there's been widespread uproar. there's no debate because this is not something that was brought into parliament or anything. in fact, i read in some website that google said they'd be happy to censor content if there was a well-defined law.
what google does with their copy of any book is upto them, unless the thing they do violates copyright. and it was proved in court that this does not violate copyright.
why are we comparing outlook and firefox again?? one is a web browser used by 25% of all the internet, and the other is an email program for business users (mostly). also, your comment "Aha -- maybe it's an issue only under Windows..." is the most jerky (sic?) one in this thread. because in that one line, you made an excuse about firefox's slow performance and tried to put the blame on somebody else, when its clearly mozilla's fault. because other browsers like chrome, ie and even safari seem to do fine. also, you tried to write off most of the users that still use firefox. you are a perfect demo of what's wrong with mozilla's devs.
great point. "its not 100million, its 87!! only 87 million dollars! and that includes all the non-software things they do too!" let me rephrase: 87 million dollars is way too much for developing a web browser and blowing around on some stupid stuff that's not gonna help anyone.
that's the problem! chrome does not respect the os dpi setting. it does not change when you change the dpi in your os.
safari on windows is completely shit. it looks extremely ugly, performs extremely slowly, and isn't even the best at rendering stuff.
bartab is now available as an experimental flag in about:flag.
Save/restore tabs between browser sessions?? chrome probably invented this!
try side tabs in about:flags. its quite nice, but its not completely tree style :(

You can do all the same stuff in firefox, and have been able to since before Chrome existed.
but only slowly and shittily.

no, it means there is no need for a special child cyanide regulation.

printers should not need drivers. but hp wants to waste money on developing shit custom drivers.
some people actually do prefer htc's and samsung's custom uis over the bland android standard.

some of those don't seem so 'outlandish':

all those are quite true, as everyone knows.
facebook can't be locked out.

books that have dozens of pages available have been authorized by the author/publisher afaik.
google is not 'quot the entire thing in public'. it shows you a few pages around the search term.
no, fuck you. if google does it, it must be okay.
at least i'm not a fucking idiot. like you seem to be.
no nvidia, i'm afraid.
