My Sony Xperia Z is 3 1/2 years old now. I recharge at night, and I have not noticed any degradation of the charge yet. and I usually have more than 50% left at the end of the day. So I don't see the problem.
I almost bought a webcam that could only be accessed via some cloud service provided by the manufacturer; it was *not* possible to access any streams locally. Useful for the clueless that just want to check up on the cat via the smart phone while doing some shopping, but not if you want to use it for security purposes... I.e. another gotcha to look out for when shopping for these things.
I upgraded the firmware on a Foscam camera and after rebooting the thing it refused to let me in because a plugin was missing. Thanks, Foscam... I'll never buy Foscam again. Plenty of others on the Foscam forum complaining about this, and Foscam only gives responses that indicate they're not going to change it.
I ported Vim to OS/2 when I had to work with that particular operating system. I think that I was more productive on that job in total, even with the time spent on the port, than if I had not been able to use Vim.
Here's a bluetooth solution to hear spoken turn-by-turn directions on a motorcycle, without any wires between the GPS and your helmet: perfect pilot That's a sort of "everyday" solution.
Deleting a message without telling anyone is not an option
Most scanners will also tell the recipient of the message that an attachment was blocked; often the attachment is simply quarantined and can be made available by the sysadmin if it was in fact a legitimate attachment.
So no one gets hurt by turning off notifications to the (supposed) sender.
About 2 years ago the Dutch music copyright organizations wanted to impose a tax of about US$0.50 on each CD recordable sold. There was an outcry of course; they then added that businesses that use CDRs for data etc. could be exempt from this tax if they could prove that their use of CDRs was for data use.
However, this sort of died a quiet death, although I'm afraid they might be waiting for some precedent in other EU countries; this Bertelsmann deal might be the trigger...
They proclaim to support the artists involved. However, I've heard many (beginning) artists complain that they hardly get any money. And those beginning artists are the ones that use CDRs to try to sell their music, and they would have been subject to the tax on CDRs as well!
Also take a look at the rules for importing music from outside the Netherlands (you will have to turn off Javascript, else you're bounced to an error screen; they don't want you going directly to a page; else follow the links "for music users" and then "The importation of cd's and other soundcarriers"). If you import legally produced and distributed CDs from outside NL, you may still have to pay additional royalties...

That's the mud on the floor of the Blue Lagoon, which is supposed to be good for your skin.
Sorry to disappoint...
