Mmm support should come from Linux Distros in my opinion. Besides do OEM support Windows installation? I though Microsoft directly provides updates to customers and not through OEMs. And regarding help on how to perform stuff, I dont believe either microsoft or OEMs provide them.
Actually OEMs should be forced to offer those, not Microsoft. Too bad it wont happen, as Apple will not take it up with EU. And Linux distors are not powerful enough to take it up.
FYI, not in India. Western union cannot be used to send money from India. It can be used to send to India though, where the recipient can furnish necessary documentation (identity proof, name address, reason for transfer) and collect it.
The aim is not to stop remittances, but to permit remittances only if the required paper work has been submitted (Which is very simple one page form, asking for sender and receiver details (name, address, identity proof) and reason for transfer).
The RBI (Reserve Bank of India) mandates banks registered in India to collect these before forex transfers can be made.
In this case, paypal doesnt want to be registered as a bank and fall under RBI regulations. As a result have been banned. I am surprise it did not happen earlier.
And just to make it clear, SWIFT Transfer (also called wire transfer) and mailing checks/DDs will continue to work. There are no options send/receive money order to/from India
Of course. Paypal has to be registered with the RBI to make forex (foreign exchange) transfers. Every time someone converts rupees in dollars or vice-versa, the source and destination of transfer and reason have to made available to the RBI.
Apart from these, Paypal would also be subjected to regulations governing these transactions.
The problem is Paypal doesnt want to be regulated as bank but wants to be able to perform what banks do. And this does not go well with the RBI.
Ok it wouldnt work for another 30 years. So cut the money being pumped into it right now, and phase it over the next few decades. And allocate those resources to more pressing problems, like addressing the huge deficit.
I would be really surprised if someone had starting pumping billion/millions into creating a 45nm CPU running @3.8GHZ in 1979
When people grow up they become more and more aware of inethical behavior happening in various parts of the world (including the ones happening at their own country/neighborhood). They have an uneasy feeling about these and wish the world was as good as before (ie, wish the world would be as they imagined when they ignorant).
I bet if given the option, quite a lot of people will prefer ignorance to awareness/knowledge.
Not just one device, it is Firefox Maemo 1.0. Which means it can run any Nokia running Meamo 5.0. There are other versions which are in various stages of development. For eg, its in Alpha 3 for Windows Mobile 6.0.

Actually its not that google is explicitly offering ad hiding feature. Its is just that google is allowing extensions to insert stylesheets into webpages and AdThwart is using this feature to hide ads. If google were to not disallow extensions from inserting stylesheets, the capability of the extensions would be so limited that, it would literally become useless.
Besides it is an open source tool. If they explicitly disallow adblocking. Someone will fork it.
So it not that google is doing us a favor. Its just that it does not have any other options.
No they dont. As it has already been pointed out in slashdot hundreds of times, Chrome only allows you hide ads, it does not prevent ads from being downloaded. Hence you might see ads for a second before they actually disappear. And even worse is ads for youtube (the ones that popup within the flash plugin) can be blocked using Adblock in Firefox, but not in Chrome (using Adthwart or Adblock or whatever).

The same whatever code used to force Microsoft to offer "Browser choices"

May be, if she doesn't want her abusive ex-husband to know, she shouldn't be doing it?

You missed something - fame, thrill/challenge to do it
Why not submit them as PDFs? They can open it in any platform and it will appear as I intended. Besides it would make you look cool.
Its working fine for me at my university.
Sorry, looks like I concluded too early. I tested only on Linux and it did not have CNNIC Root installed.
Mmm strange that it does not maintain its own list of certifictes,
Chrome does not.

Its like claiming ignorance was bliss. :)

And that's all that Apple's "doing" to jailbreakers. Lots of people who want to do that are still doing that. No lawsuits that I know of.
Yeah, apart from bricking jail broken phones through upgrades.

they still do roughly the same thing.

But doesnt sandboxing these plugins make these browsers secure?
Unless those mutual funds are shell companies controlled by Chinese Govt. I have heard Chinese govt has enough shells to go unnoticed.
Or cops!
