Many are shaking their heads and wondering how a black man could possibly be trusted with the ultimate office.
I am praying for President-Elect Obama. The easy part is done. Now the heavy lifting up and healing of this bruised and battered nation must be accomplished. How could any man fulfill such high expectations that the electorate of this great country have invested upon him?
No, I did not vote for him. I have not voted for a main party candidate for President since Ronald Reagan. But I swore an oath when I become an Army Officer to defend the constitution. That oath has no expiration date. It is my solemn duty to support our President.
And so I look upon this dawning of a new day... A new era for America, with hope that some good may come from all of the troubles that we now face. May God bless the President and the People of the United States of America and of the world.
