Mathematical Methods of Classical Mechanics (Graduate Texts in Mathematics) (Hardcover)
by V. I. Arnold.
I read it while in math grad school (years ago!) and thought it was beautifully written.
On the other hand, if PDEs are not related to your dissertation, you really should be focusing on your own research...
