You pay people, that's how. You pay companies to help you sway public opinion. You pay people to keep quiet. You pay people to take care of business.
The only way to ever break that chain is to find out things the hard way. Investigate, root through documents, make friends, and watch people.

On a Mac, the new Voodoo series of cards will be fully supported (no more of these damn beta drivers). Some of the features that the PC freaks may enjoy - like support for DVD drives - may be missing, but what the heck. ATI is putting out a new card this summer too, but I'm not a big fan.
I think someone is writing Mac nVida drivers, but don't hold your breath. My advice is to wait for the V5.

Where I work (pharmaceuticals), if I leak any of our trade secrets I'm done. Not only will I get fired, but maybe arrested and/or sued.
It's like apple. When your ideas can be worth billions (that's a B) of dollars, people get a little bit edgy.
