Oh, bother. My local PBS station (KETC in St. Louis, MO) isn't showing Code Rush at 9:00 this evening (10:00 ET).. it's nowhere in their schedule. Instead, they have "Mystery!: Hetty Wainthropp Investigates III: All Stitched Up". I mean, GIVE ME A BREAK! I swear, that station always gives us nerds the shaft. They've always given Red Dwarf terrible treatment, sticking it into the schedule at 3:00AM one week, 1:00AM another, or just not bothering to show it at all!
Sigh..

All Cheap Bytes does is just grab the data from RedHat and SuSE's ftp sites (yes, they sell $1.99 SuSE CDs as well, contrary to the previous post).
Buying a Cheap Bytes CD doesn't count as buying a copy of the distribution, so being able to buy a Cheap Bytes CD for distribution X doesn't make it less expensive than distribution Y, because you can just go to X and Y's FTP sites and get the whole enchilada yourself.
I remember a few years ago, when there was some controversy (?) about how mp3.com had also registered mp4.com. This was when layer3.org and mp3.com were almost "enemies." Also, I remember filez.com being pretty crappy...
The vector icon idea is probably the way to go. This is how the icons are in IRIX, as most SGI workstations run at a pretty high resolution. I used an indy years ago that was 1280x1024 on a 17" monitor (that's high resolution to me.) Each of the windows had a nifty little "wheel" that you could use to grow and shrink the icons. Pretty novel.
Aww.. no "Funny" moderation for this one:( The case looks very nice. It looks a bit larger than an original Palm, but wood just rocks. A few years ago I was trying to make a wood PC case (the FCC be damned) but I gave up...
No, it means that we will all have to go out and buy Kaspersky Lab's Linux antivirus software (http://www.Kasperskylab.ru/eng/p roducts/linux.html)! How convenient! This reminds me of the story about Novell's CEO a few months back. He claimed that his CC number was stolen on the internet, and what do you know, the best way to keep this from happening just happens to involve Novell software.
For those who don't know, the Spam-Cam was quite the sensation around 1995-1997. The page is still there for you to look at their handiwork at http://www.fright.com/spam/spamcam.html. The basic idea was to place Spam and other foodstuffs out to rot. and rot. and rot. You get the picture. The pictures are bad enough, but the smell would complete the experience!

You bastard! Now I will never get one of these because you got the last 2 in St. Louis. :( I think I'm going to go cry now.
