As Sagan said, "Characteristically, willy-nilly, we seem compelled to project our own nature onto Nature." I agree--who knows what could exist out there? At least that's how I like to think it.
Have you ever tried eating asian snacks, like those of Japan or Korea? They are bland and devoid of tasty sugar, while Japanese and Korean folk say that American snacks are far too sweet.:)
In Japan it's considered girly to eat sweets, from what I've heard. Most men will avoid patisseries because of it. Pocky--which comes in different flavors and IS a yummy, sweet treat--even has a specific 'manly' flavor, which is basically very dark, bitter chocolate.
I've gone way OT, haven't I?
While you make good points, I disagree. NASA's been a small fry compared to the pork and useless investments Washington has made over the years. Cutting the space programs and research would be useful for all of five seconds before it disappeared into a fat-cat's pocket--then we'd have nothing. It would tick me off to have to watch Wall Street con artists benefit from the loss of yet another educational resource--one that needs to exist if we want to preserve the Earth. Don't forget that it was NASA who helped fund and research global warming, that their projects have studied other planets to study how they were formed/predict what will happen to ours, etc. It's not just astronauts on the moon.
We have an old boxy TV, no cable--just a VHS/DVD player. If I want to watch TV shows, I go through youtube and other sites. I don't much care about TV anymore. It's fun and I wouldn't mind some channels, but it doesn't matter if I see 11,540 fps. Again... it's cool and all, but I could kinda care less. Just call me a hokey from Mistokey, I guess.
IAWTC so hard.

Or a light layer of brown sugar to get a creme brulee effect.
You could've just said, "But I LIKE my SUV."
Oh well. 'Guess it's time to nail everything down.

I learned a long time ago that on cereal boxes, the 'milk' pictured was really thick glue, amongst other things. Mmmmmm!
