Don't think that windows support is included. Purchasing the Server software simply allows you the opportunity to call Microsoft and pay them to tell you if it's a bug with their software or you configuration.

I work in a situation where this has had a negative affect. I would for a fortune 5 company who has made it corporate policy to hire 100% of its contractors from H1B contracting companies and to terminate all American contractors. I have personally seen over 100 American contractors fired because "they weren't the correct race".

However the record sales went up because of napster. I know that most of the people I knew who used napster purchased cds that they never would have purchased if they hadn't had the ability to listen to it for free first. At this point you end up purchasing the cd because you respect the artist and want them to be compensated. I believe that if there were a more direct form of compensation then purchasing the cds that the results would be amazing. I also believe that this would generally improve the quality of music we had to choose from. That would eliminate the market for "boy bands and girl bands" and put the respect and compensation where it belongs, in the hands of true musicians who win their merits on their ability to entertain and perform.

  4. Our On Call Compensation package on How Do Companies Pay for "On-Call" Support? · · Score: 1

I do network/server support for one of the largest companies in the world. Me and my co admin have about 350 servers, 2000 Ethernet, and 2000 token ring users that we support in our office. The way on call is handled is we have an on call pager. We alternate holding this pager week to week. We get one billable hour for every 3 hours we are on call. i.e. I work 10-7 and bill 2 more hours for the on call coverage from 7pm to 10am. If I receive a call and can handle it over the phone we bill at least 2 hours for that and more if it took more time. If I have to come in then we bill 4 hours for that and more if it takes more time. If I have to come in 4 times in one night then that's a min. of 16 billable hours for the work and 2 for just being on call. This has worked very well because all their mission critical applications and servers are well maintained and their techs are taken care of. If by chance you did have to work all night, you sure make up for it next pay check.
