Isaiah 55:9 - For as the heavans are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
II Peter 3:7 - But the heavans and the earth, which are now, bhy the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men
Ecclesiastes 1:7 - All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
Jeremiah 33:22 - I'm not even gonna quote this, obviously their are a lot of stars.
Psalm 102:25-27 - Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavans are the work of thy hands. They shall persih, but thous shalt endure: yeah, all of them shall wax ofld like a garment, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.
Leviticus - Again, obviously people need blood to live.
Ecclesiastes 1:6 - The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.
Job 26:7 - He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
These seem pretty weak vague predictions to me. In many cases it is hard to even see that the bible is talking about what you purport it to be talking about.
When I was in high school, the computer teacher told us that it was impossible to crack into Novell Networks, and that if we did don't bother telling him, just call CNN.
Two of my friends and I did indeed crack this network (well ok, we just logged his key strokes when he was logging in), and when we did they threatned us with 2 3rd degree felonies. Since we were all pretty good students, they were only trying to scare us, and nothing much happened to us.
"The idea that he can't get under the covers after a whole decade and half of life with computers, he's just got to accept that they're as formlessly, seamlessly, totally incorporated, with nothing for him to do as his father's Oldsmobile? That's just not the way society is going to exist. The number of people who are going to demand to control their environment is going to be very large."
This quote reminded me of the various scripting languages that are so popular in FPSs now. The games are far from OpenSource, but at the same time, the developers have opened up a subset of functionality into the game, and give you a simple language to code in.
I think in the future it is more likely that even simple programs will give you this capability. An example I've thought of before is the graphics attached to mp3 players. They might have 30 preset settings, or pages upon pages of configuration options which let you choose exactly how things will swirl and shake to the music, but it would be more precise and easier to control if they had a programming language that gave you direct control over this stuff.
I've heard Ween called the evil twins of TMBG. I was wondering what you thought of this? Do you listen to their music?
I know that both groups started out with only two guys (John & John vs. Gene & Dean), supplemented by various electronica. Both groups have eventually added more live musicians to their line up. How do you think your similiar genesis influenced your latter development?
I primarily use napster when I hear of a band whose music I have never heard before. Then I have the chance to download 10-15 songs of theirs to decide if I like the band, before spending money on CDs. Have you used Napster before? If so why did you use it?
Also, what bands do you listen to?
One major problem with preferential and other alternative voting methods is that they are more complicated than the current "vote for the best guy" method. We could implement these voting methods in the polls that are on so many web pages these days, and in this way people would get more exposure to them. This is one simple way, that we could help to bring about this voting reform.

You can go to blockbuster, etc. and rent a console game for a few bucks and have the chance to try out the full game for a few nights.

The best part is that we are practically gauranteed that a sequel will not be produced!
