  1. if this goes through on Google's Streetview Privacy Snafu Prompts Lawsuit · · Score: 1

Everyone who has ever used any wifi device to scan for a wireless network is going to be sued. Funny how you can be sued for not breaking the law.

This is what charter Customer Service said: (Me): I read on slashdot that it will be added to the user policy at 100gb a month (Me): at the end of the month TTD Alek : Yes, that is correct, Chris. If you will exceed that amount, you will only be given a notice that you have exceeded it. (Me): Thats it? I use over 100gb weekly probably TTD Alek : That's okay. It is not strictly enforced.

  3. a mistake? on Windows 7 To Come In Multiple Versions · · Score: 1

I don't understand completely why Microsoft doesn't just release one version, or possibly two, one for the home users, and another for the business users. Splitting the home sector into the 3 they have it now(starter, basic, premium) is ridiculous. Do they really make that much money off selling a better version? It would make it a lot easier on the customer. I guess it just makes some people feel like since they won't be using the fancy aero, or the media center that they won't be paying for it. idk, could be rational. lol

  4. If It were me... on What Restrictions Should Student Laptops Have? · · Score: 1

I'm a senior in high school right now, and having all those restrictions on my computer that I basically am purchasing would merit a complete reinstall of the OS that I would do myself. I think its rather crazy to even attempt to put blocks on a computer the students are purchasing. If it was a school laptop, I would understand, but being that it isn't, well, I would be free to do as a wish with said machine.
