Sounds like the best plan of action, but if you really want to yell at somebody, yell at Cyper Patrol. Tell them to make some software that will only block the "offensive" pages and not every page on the server. By the way, before you're too hard on the ISP, ask yourself (or them) how many of the ISPs in your area are blocked by Cyber Patrol. If one page is all it takes many ISP may be blocked.
Micros~1 marketing took over the trojan horsing in Win98. Some stupid stuff about going into the "Time/Time Zone" configuration and clicking and holding on Redmond...blah, blah don't remember the rest. Anyway, instead of a flight sim you get a Micros~1 commercial (sp?)
No, let's not put all effort possible into curing cancer or AIDS...no let's recreate some damn birds. This is probably being funded by people who want to revive the fashion trend that made the species extinct in the first place. There's a ton of crows around here...spraypaint the ends of their feather and there you go.
One of the items in the official IPO stuff included what the millions from the IPO would be spent on and "geographical expansion" was listed. Not too surprising that they want an office in CA...
Who wants to bet that M$ will be pressuring Intel to delay the release of the Merced until they can finish throwing something together? The Merced is supposed to run IA32 code, but will it run a 32-bit OS like Linux or NT out of the box (or straight of the net in the case of Linux)?
The federal government using something overpriced and low quality...what a surprize. The last time it was rebooted was in January huh?...I guess you haven't tried to install any new software or changed any configurations. You also must be doing some pretty simple stuff with it...file serving, etc...not a development machine obviously.
This is changed with the 2.2.x kernel. The three finger salute to Mr. Gates no longer causes the shutdown command to run, but bounces the box giving you the same effect as if you were in *ugh* DOS.
I have a very similar problem. I went to 2.2.9 and I keep getting something about "Incorrect kernel version in System.map". I just ignore it since it's been running fine. It is annoying though.
72 hours? 2.2.9 came out more than a month ago and if you don't use Linux why are you worried about it? Good to see your putting all your valuable time ("I can't spare 15 minutes to recompile the kernel *wahhhh*") to good use.
Seems like M$ knows a lot about Sun's "weaknesses". Maybe they should spend less time finding faults with other companies and more time fixing their own....crazy idea right?
It does not crash on "any sort of Java". I'm using it right now. It does crash, but it's certainly usable, and lots of java stuff works fine. It crashes less than Windoze does.
Maybe I've been spending too much time with my computer, but who is Yitzhak Rabin and why is he so important?

Survival of the Fittest...not just a cool saying
Motorola's world headquarters is in Schaumburg (about 20 min from Chicago)

"Often, the upkeep for Linux can be so much more expensive than NT"
What??? Care to explain that...what the current per hour rate at M$ for support?
Do the math!!! If he's getting that kind of $$$ he can retire in a couple years and spend 24/7 with his family...
I think the artical missed the point: Work your ass off, retire at 40.

Yes, please do so. I would love more info on how you did this.
