Well, XFree will run on osx no matter what you have installed, the XDarwin group even released a pre-compiled installer.pkg, so to install it all you have to do is double click, and start XDarwin.app and there you go.
But 10.1 is not a service pack. ALOT of things were changed, everything from a new kernel, to new libraries, to new namespaces, its basically a new version of the OS (a la Win 95 -> 98)

uh... just use XPod... the PC iPod software from a 3rd party company (I don't recall who though)

Yeah you have to, but there are ways to work around it, and put in a different logo and have it still work
