windows is great if your a luser but linux *bsd are better for a real user.

I admin 20 or so SUN v100s and a few SUN 280Rs. Our production servers dont have compilers on. why run the risk?
So i make my own solaris packages or use ones provided by sunfreeware or blastwave depending on what i want.
So for those apps which need compliling specially i can. then make a pakage and move them out to my identical machines
