They are allowed to take them with them if they think that they are needed, like when eye witnesses claim they have been threated by some guy with a gun. I was looking at flying to a meeting in Germany from Austria. However even a 5 hour train ride works out quicker than the 1 hour flight with all the extras (including traveling to and from the airports).
Oil pipelines, highways and ocean cables are >2000km in length and a lot of them are far more "massive". Sometimes we forget what we are prepared to do (and have done) just to drive a car or burn a ton of oil for power when we consider these sorts of things.
Thing about estimates on something that needs a bucket load of R&D, is that they are total rubbish. Fact is we are not even in a position to *estimate* the cost of such a launch system.
I just made (and recorded!) 45 minutes of music and it cost me virtually nothing.
That phrase there is what really scares them. I can rent a sound room and an sound engineer even though I am not rich. I can distribute what I have recorded for a reasonably minimal cost (internet is *not* free). They--the studios--are not needed anymore.
In this case the restaurant has probably already paid the required fee, its similar to playing the radio for your customers fee. Its fixed and not based on what the "band" actually plays. So you probably didn't break any laws I'm afraid. Sorry to disappoint.

However if you disagree, you are clearly not a climatologist and therefore don't count. Also you are probably paid off by big oil interests. Therefore all people who count have a Consensus on AGW.

We are talking about the order of centimeters of sea rise over a century or more, *in the worst case*, according to IPCC and similar sources. The beaches where I use to swim the tide range is many meters. Add the fact that building thousands of miles of massive highway system, requiring the moving of mega tons of material has been build in the last half century just so we can drive our f^%$^ cars, we should be able to handle a little sea rise over 100 years *or* more.
Its like some of the fresh water "issues". Everyone seems to think that an oil pipeline across continents makes sense. But for some reason you are not allowed to do that with a water pipeline?

I have never had *anything* searched or checked coming into the EU from outside or while traveling withing the EU. You get a passport check at worst.

My ass its dangerous. Its so not dangerous just about any tom dick or harry can get a bottle and keep it in the garage. Its a *lot* safer than acetylene, and you can have that in your garage right next to the oxygen, in a welding kit. The last O2 bottles I had were 3000psi. Hardly low pressure.
LOX is also pretty safe for the same reasons. Sure you don't go around smoking and stuff. But LOX and O2 and industry standard and quite safe to handle with minimal procedures.
However, having used both Nos and HTP, they are not nearly as safe. As those guys testing a Nos rocket found out. Its chemically unstable on its own. O2 is not.

Turns out that Since you are traveling away from the sun, the *total* impulse that the sail can provide is *finite*. And its almost useless past Jupiter...

In my experience if someone is "outraged" with someones personal life, its because it mirrors something in their personal life that they are ashamed of. ie a cheating husband that it not yet busted, tends to be outraged that his busted friend cheated on his wife....
As i just stated previously. Once you are as far out as Jupiter the you have 2500 times less thrust but have 99% (or even 100%) of you max velocity. You need to get it right close to the sun where you have less momentum and more thrust.
You don't have unlimited ability to maneuver unfortunately. Thrust goes down with 1/r2 from the sun. So once you are out past Jupiter you have almost all of your momentum vector fixed, and no thrust left to change it (thrust is down by a factor of 2500). Gravity maneuver would be about the only thing that would work after that. Even then, you are moving really fast and that on its own reduces the ability to maneuver.
How so? I don't get any fees on my Credit Card. I don't pay interest either since i always pay it off. When i use ebay here however I use direct transfer. Works for the whole EU. Costs me 20c last time IIRC. Its not like pay pal dispute resolution works....

My friends children were invited into the cockpit by the pilots in jan 2002. Reinforcing cockpit doors did nothing.
