Read through the Downing Street Memos. The CIA and MI6 knew there were no WMDs in Iraq, but it provided a solid story to rally support for the war, so they went with it.
Now I just wish they'd find a way to make it possible to receive credit in those courses. Would be great to substitute one of the lower core CSCI courses with an online version from Stanford.
You can talk your way into almost anywhere by claiming you're from IT. A couple years ago I did these server upgrades for bank of the west. No ID cards or anything, just walk in and do what you want.
I read his C book a few years ago during my last year in high school and loved it enough that I ended up picking my major in computer science. His work has been truly influential, and I'm sad to see this.
This. Fresno State keeps complaining that there's no money for anything, and has almost doubled our tuition in the last two years, but we have a brand new library, we're renovating other buildings, we're being sued by a contractor from one of the projects, and we have a brand new building for a high school that they wanted put on campus. Add to it that the football coach makes over a million a year, as does the dean, and most of the staff doesn't do anything all day and you're just looking at a giant sinkhole of money.
It looks cool, but I still can't convince myself to pay a monthly fee for a game that I've already purchased. Plus DC Universe Online will be free to play by then, and I'd really rather do the microtransaction bit.
I would love for even that to be true. Fresno State doesn't offer any security classes currently (though they're looking into it) for their computer science course. Web Dev is a class offered for one of the elective strings, but it isn't mandatory as there's other course branches you can focus on which is cool.
How is it irresponsible driving when it's the only way to get to school or find a new job? Would you rather just pay for unemployment for everyone in that sort of a situation instead?
Disagree. I had a stint of being uninsured for about six months after being laid off from my job simply because it's too damn expensive to pay 100 a month when you're a male under 25, even if you've never had an accident AND have taken driving classes for work. It's also damn near impossible to use public transportation in parts of California, like the Central Valley.
When you work in shit retail support, it helps to know everything in the "computer department" because every hick and their family members are going to come over to ask questions on everything.
They're generally easy to use, until someone has a problem and you have to find where different settings are that may be causing the issue, or if it's a problem with a specific app that doesn't want to play nice.
Another new tablet? Probably with a completely different UI than all the others. Going to be bombarded with users asking how to do things or to trouble shoot it, so have to learn ANOTHER set. Already sick of tablets and their non-standardization.
Is it purely to make more money, or is it to counter cost of shipping, and the cost of licensing what they stream/rent out? As it stands, I'll stick to the pure streaming plan since I tend to like it for just finding something random to watch. If it's DVD only, I tend to just torrent it anyway. Don't really see what the giant fuss is over on Slashdot since I'm sure a majority of you do or can do the same.
Did you even read the article? Last paragraph even says they don't have a confirmation on if it will affect current contracts or only new contracts. More than likely it'll only affect new contracts rather than people who already have the plan just to avoid the giant hassles of changing contracts and pissing off people.
They won't send everyone notices. It'll only come up when it starts to affect people at contract renewal time. As for contacting Verizon, you aren't REALLY contacting them. Their customer service is outsourced to a company called Ryla in central California that is run by retards and no information is ever passed to the actual people on the phone who spend all day being bitched at by other retards across the country.

It happened yesterday. It was on local news last night

Depending on the size of the project you may want to see if any students looking for a graduation project would want to pick it up
Watch Pirates of Silicon Valley, too. Good flick, and a fair amount of background on Jobs' early years.

Real job will be next year when I'm done with my degree, hence the last part in the signature.

*India has the worlds largest population.
That photographer is either dead or in a work camp by now.
Woosh. Just read all the 347 stuff. Still have a headache from that sentence though.
But you're not concerned with the grammatically incorrect 'I wonder Microsoft have put the Sidekick management in charge of their customer's data"?
Bet Tom is laughing in his pile of money.
Where's that Internet Hate Machine I grew to know and love over the years? "Hay guiz, that's racist! Shame on you."
