I wholly agree with this. A good quality small camera like the LX5 allows you to apply all sorts of adjustments if you want to and it's always on hand.
I just came back from Paris with an LX3 (previous model) and I was able to have it very discreetly in my bag without it weighing me down.

I'll second you on that. I had one bulb for more than 20 years that was still working when I left the appartment I was living in.
