You seem to equate Muslim with Islamist. I hope you realize that there are *many* non-radical Muslims, just like there are many Christians that don't tell me that I'm going to hell. Because I don't believe in god.

  2. Internet use in korea isn't based at home on South Korea Announces Daily MMO Blackouts For Youths · · Score: 2, Interesting

I think the reason for this new measure decided upon by the government is because in Korea, it is far more normal for people to get together at a PC Bang (basically internet cafe), where first of all the kids waste their money and time (not to mention sucking up huge amounts of second hand smoke, even in the so-called "not smoking areas") and in addition to that, they pay less attention to their studies. In Korea in particular where studies are very important up through the end of high-school,

  3. iPod is definitely the way to go. on Portable MP3 Player w/ Unix Support? · · Score: 1

Previously the refurbished price for the 5GB iPod was at 299$US, and now all the 5GB iPods have dropped to this price.

With a price of 299$US, a 5GB hard disk and approximately 10 hours of use, you cannot go wrong. In addition to that, xpod has been created for use as a linux client for the ipod.

As of yet, support for Ogg Vorbis has not been created, but once it has, you will be sure to see it at http://www.ipodhacks.com

  4. Eye movement/signal motion-detector on A Humanitarian Engineering Problem · · Score: 2, Insightful

Since her movement abilities are gradually being restricted to her eyes, it would be very logical to design something around the most mobile part of her body. My suggestion would be a motion detecting mechanism that responds to sudden repeated movements of the eyes, such as three rapid blinks, etc. As her ability to move any other body part is gradually lost, so will be her ability to use any device designed specifically for that region.

  5. X Window or console? on Quake3 Arena on Linux · · Score: 1

I think the likelihood that there will be support for both console and x is very high. Quake II had both. Also, Quake Arena will need some for of hardware acceleration, although the 3dfx cards are not the only ones that will be supported. The I740 2D/3D video card will also be supported.
