t H2K I met up with a couple locals to my area. Young hackers, my
age 18-20, and I get to know them well. I even spent time with them
in the past several months, including having hung out at their house.
If anyone here has read/. lately, you've also heard of my friend,
Christopher Hemmah. He's a good guy, and a decent student, also going to UML with me, and he's being railroaded.
Any New Englander knows the trouble with small town cops, but
I think this here is a good place to make a stand.
Chris had a traffic incident where he was cut off, flipped the guy off,
and the guy road raged, and stopped in front of Chris and tried to pull Chris out of the car. This was in broad daylight in at a intersection near a strip mall.
He ended up getting charged with whatever the legal term is for junopinciting an incident. I believe charges were dropped, but he was insulted. So he parodied the Salem, NH police department.
PARODIED.
Protected Speech.
It also included the general errata of typical overrun of the mill with some porn, fisting if I remember correctly, he thinks that is ridiculously funny, which is stupid, but not illegal.
He's been arrested for that website, citing it obscene or some such nonsense by the same police department he parodied.
I'm freaked.
Their main site (www.evilcomputing.net) is down, and their phone number has been disconnected.
I'm extremely disadvantaged as this is the semester break, which pulls me 50 miles away from civilization, and that my ISP has recently gone chapter 11. I need help on this one. This isn't a case of kiddie hacking, its a case of free speech rights being outright pissed on.
I want to organise a protest, but I'm having trouble making contacts. My a group that never sleeps is so silent on the weekend I will never figure out.
You know me, I've been with you guys since 95. I've always been a voice of reason, and rarely one to side with the bleeding heart liberals. I busted my ass working goon squad at h2k, and anyone I've ever dealt with knows I'm true to myself and my words.
But I'm clawing at the air right now, news just hit me, and I'm still a bit stunned.
This is bullshit, though.
Serious bullshit.
And I need help.
Or sooner or later we'll all need help, and they'll be noone left.

The porn were pictures of a girl being fisted.
You can buy that in a magazine, It wasn't child porn, and will odd, disturbing, or otherwise, it wasn't legally obscene. The site itself wasn't even a main site, unless it had become that in the last month. His main site is down, and his phone number now comes up as disconnected. I know Hemmah personally, and he is being railroaded.
