Shouldnt they like, KNOW they had to give us the source?
Dont they have 3 megatons of lawyers? Did ANYONE read the licence?
No. Of course not. Why should they.
Knock knock Whos there? BULLSHIT POLICE! YOU HAVE A BLACK SCREEN WITH LETTERS! YOU ARE A *reads a paper with info* LÃÃT HÃXOR!! WE WILL CONFISCATE ALL YOUR STUFF!
Seriously, i know many people know much about computers, but do you yell "CAR STEALER!!!" at someone who is just entering his car with a key he owns to drive to the supermarket?
Paranoia is a bitch.
Hehe, i know these "Obsolete" packages thing too.
When i upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10, it told me that every package, even gnome, was obsolete and about to get removed.
I should read what i am approving. That killed my system (When i booted i got a command line, which still was enough to backup my data.)
Well, i never thought or said Linux was invulnerable... Also many people told me that the Linux viruses can be waaay nastier then windows ones.
But, in many years of using Windows XP i almost never got a virus(/malware/trojan). Why? Because I'm not the type of people that say: "WHAT? Free music??? *clickyclickyvirusdownload*" (Yes, a friend of mine did this.) Why should I be less careful in linux?
PS: I still think Linux is more secure than windows. (Not only because system security, but also because Linux users know more about computer then windows users (most of times))
Also, i don't really think this will work good. Im not an computer expert or anything, but copying everything from RAM to HD could hurt performence and stuff.
I hate how he clearly targets linux here I think linux is way better then any windows (Thats what I think). Also his stuff is still vaporware and he is talking like he owns the OS market...
I would like this (concept) if it where open source...
Many devs = Succes and a better(?) linux.
I always liked to have the possibility of choice. Even if i don't need it.
Having many distros means theres something for everyone. I use Ubuntu (Im new more or less new to GNU/linux) because its easy, has apt-get and an update manager (And other stuff). But maybe someone else wants to personalize his stuff to the max (A thing thats difficult on MS-Windows) use gentoo or something like that.
This will be useful in war.
But, how will it work?
Checking the heartbeat with a sensor mounted on a moving stick controlled by a joystick could be hard.
1. I don't WANT that clickonce thing, im sure there is/will be some way to exploit that.
2.They should fix their own stuff.
3.Yeah, yeah, many install stuff without asking, but how many of them have their own browser they don't want to fix?
4.I just don't like that they do it hidden, without asking or giving you an option.
AND they still have the balls to make it uninstall proof. Thats just to much.
I think they shouldn't do this. ALSO, Microsoft said open source is CANCER or something (old news) and now, out of the sudden, they CARE about us?
I always hated them (i use windows only for gaming purposes), and now i do way more.
They arent? Then why does everyone have them?
Actually, you got a point.
In the name of me and the internet, we too would like to file a comment here.
"RIAA and MPAA, go fuck yourselves".
Thanks.
WHAT ARE THEY SMOKING?
But then, how will the user re-enable the service when they start missing those targeted advertisements?
Why should anyone want that? It is useless.
Shouldnt they like, KNOW they had to give us the source? Dont they have 3 megatons of lawyers? Did ANYONE read the licence? No. Of course not. Why should they.
Microsoft just announced that you can ADOPT source code lines of windows VISTA!
Ballmer: "We had this idea because im a genius blah blah blah"
Reporter: "Didnt miro start this strategy?"
Ballmer: "SHUT UP!!! I THROW CHAIRS!1!11"
Of course you can ONLY adopt comments of the developers (All including the word FUCK atleast one time), because were not giving away our codes!!!
Duke nukem code:
#This is miro component X made by someguy
-dukenukem stuff here-
The makers of duke nukem would be all "WTF!"
Or a commandline Linux
Knock knock
Whos there?

I must admit i didn't understand EVERYTHING...
But i understood enough to say that you have a good point.
BUT, as long (like you said) we don't have anything better, i will stick to Linux.
Also, many Linux users (Damnit, i mean GNU/linux) are happy with it.
But yeah, its aaaalll the same...
But nobody can give you a guarantee that phanton will work great. MAYBE they screw it (or maybe not).
PS:(that-kind-of-advanced-stuff-that-you-said)Pro VS (that-kind-of-advanced-stuff-that-you-said)newbie (-me)
I just got burned. *g*
:D
And as far as i know linux is open source. Or most of the distros.
Yeah, hibernation works like that (as far as i know), but doing it often still (could) be a problem (or maybe not.)
Also, why is linux a dinosaur? (Fanboy sense is tingling XD)
Btw, what are you running? A dinosaur or a broken window?
DISCLAIMER: My opinion is MINE, even if im totally wrong
So my system is running a dinosaur?
Sorry, no.
Also, i don't really think this will work good.

Genius!
Now you can get viruses by looking at anything with text on it!
WARNING This virus requires:
-A Computer running Windows
-Human stupidity, but not that much (i would fall for that maybe)
I will give 100 dollars to the guy who does this.
We should do some kind of campaign or contest for this.
So this will fix stuff for me? I dont really think this will work to well.
cmd:fixitforme.exe -get -girlfriend

...with some morphium. Much better.
This will be useful in war.

If you are right, then we will be kind of fucked... At least the people who don't know how to uninstall that stuff.
