  1. hmmm, I wonder on Game Site Wonders 'What Next?' When 50% of Users Block Ads · · Score: 1

How about using less invasive adds, don't auto play video and audio, pop-ups, stealth malware installers, don't let the meat upwards of half of the sites interface, etc. ; that would be a great start .

  2. YES for the love of all that is Fandom on Ask Slashdot: Is It Time For SyFy To Go Premium? · · Score: 1

Yes please, there is so little on theses days that i miss the content that SCI-FI used to have (thats right i intentionally spelled it that way) before the dumbing down of the programs. Just like when G4 bought TechTV. Seems that theses days everything is pointed at the lowest common denominator. I would gladly py a couple extra dollars a month if it meat having some thing decent to watch again. Sigh......

  3. 196.21 had issues as well on NVIDIA Driver Update Causing Video Cards To Overheat In Games · · Score: 1

I had to revert back to 195.62 driver because the 196.21 was causing my system to randomly lock up, even more so when i was playing games such as Star Trek Online. Boy am I Glad I didn't see the newer one. I will tell you this however, these last to driver revs from Nvidia are sure starting to make look more closely at ATI again.

  4. Re:Apparently I am in the minority on TechTV.com RIP · · Score: 1

It couldnt be a copy beings how it was around before g4 exsisted, also the programming on techtv (while not always pointed to the more advanced crowd) gave some usefull information on technology. I tried to watch g4 when it first came on the air and could not stand it. BRING BACK TECHTV FOR CRIMENYS SAKE, at least it was watchable.

  5. Re:stupid question on During Blackout, Ham Radio Shined · · Score: 2, Informative

A great place to start would be the Http://www.arrl.org site, the is the most well know Amatuer Radio Site around (BTW we are also working on being able to use a title other that "amatuer" as is demonstrated over and over again duing every day activities as well as emergencies) and will hopefully give you a better idea of the scope of what HAM radio has to offer the personally and publicly.
