I can't play Legend Zelda, Final Fantasy, or Dragon Warrior on my Palm V.
Um, actually you can. Gambit Studios has had a gameboy emulator out for the palm os for quite some time. Some of the older palms are a little sluggish, but it works.
I agree with much of what has been said here, I agree that it is technically a crime for people to be transmitting copyrighted mp3s, but there is no viable way to stop it. I think that the lawyers are taking a step in the right direction on actually targeting the users, but why are they still sueing Napster? Napster did what they could, they said they would ban users who were illegally transmitting those files, but they are still being sued? Napster is a method of transporting files, just as HTTP and FTP. If they are to ban Napster, or sue the creator because it is a helping hand to criminals, does that mean that the creators of HTTP and FTP will soon be sued or banned as well?
Geeze, I can only imagine what would happen if US companies started to lanuch their own missions (when they do, rather).. It's gonna get mighty crowded. Still, I hope there's a Hilton in Earth's orbit before I die, because I think it would be kicky if I could spend a night in space.
If this so called "Microsoft-less world" does come to pass, I have to wonder how it is going to affect the IT industry? Are we going to be seeing more people running linux? Or is everyone going to find a new standard and clump to that? I think that a world without Microsoft is something that won't happen for a long time, and if it ever does, it will sure be interesting. -stuckpixel-
After I read this, I laughed to myself, but then I thought of how many of my friends have seriously believed hoaxes like this. It's sort of funny in a way.. I mean, I'm no auto-mechanic, but I know that there aren't any little imperfections in certain types of gasoline that would cause my truck to explode, yet people believe this sort of thing can happen with computers. Ignorance, and it's effects.. Just something to think about. -stuckpixel-
