    TRILLIAN does not run on linux, does it? I use GAIM and have been using AIM, ICQ, Yahoo and MSN simultaneously for over a year now with no problems.

    Why has no one mentioned texinfo? I know it used tex on the backend, but it provides a much cleaner set of macros to work with, and produces some damn fine HTML and PDF's.

    Also, its very easy to retrieve a forgotten password with mailman.

    I have many announce-only lists setup like you described, and they work great.

    We have a InnoDB table with 12 million rows. While its somewhat slow at times, it kicks Orables @$$. As far as a tip, you better listen when they say don't make the memory pool larger than %80 of RAM. It will swap hard and kill performance, believe me. :)

    I run an 11 Mbps wireless network. True, it helps when you own the hardware. Good thing I am the ISP. No wireless bandwidth charges.

    Shit, I get paid to write free software. I am lucky enough to have a boss that was able to open his eyes and see the potential of open source. He realized let the world debug our code rather than spend a million dollars doing it house in 10 times the amount of time.
