Of course Sony are disappointed because they are greedy assholes.
Its a pity a dubious industry apparently have managed to buy laws which allows them to make money from things they shouldn't be allowed to. Earning a decent coin is one thing, but this behavior is just amoral. If someone pays for a song they should be allowed to stream it from the cloud - if the laws prevent that those laws are wrong and must be changed.
Except they have made the calculation, and the electric cars are generally more polluting than the gas cars.
And for europe, they are not even cheap because there are heavy taxes on electrical power to get people to cut down on power usage or be more efficient (as in changing to low usage bulbs etc)
"because it's so hard to understand how to pay for so much bandwidth just for users to watch free videos."
What is hard to understand is that the greedy bastards are getting away with demanding so obscene prices for bandwidth which could and should be 5000% cheaper. Its not oil people. Its not going to run out, and there is no reason for it to be scarce - except dubious business practices.
"...and never let that product has chance to directly compete with non-products, ever."
Except its bullshit. People aren't a product (except of mommy and daddy). Search is what google uses to draw in people. Without it they would be screwed.
It was bad enough when they changed the retweet to their new stupid way of displaying it (showing the avatar of the one getting retweeted rather than the one doing the retweeting), now this "consistent experience" is another word for bad interface.
But hey, there is greed i them there hills. Now they are trying to make or break it. I'm betting on breaking it - unless google buys them and keeps it free to harvest the thoughts of men.
"Republic" and "democracy" are not alternatives to one another. A country can be both or neither or either one but not the other.
The USA has a presidency rather than a monarchy, that makes it a republic, the government is elected by the people that makes it a democracy (a representative democracy to be more precise).
Iraq, pre-war, was a non-democratic republic. The UK is a democratic monarchy. Saudi Arabia is a non-democratic monarchy. The USA is a democratic republic.
Of course who needs education when you are WINNING!
Otherwise I don't give a crap about stuff that will make life easier for the people who create mostly lame websites. The URL bar is slow as an evil year and would be wonderful if it was fast. But it isn't.
That there are a lot of amoral criminals doesn't mean it isn't wrong.
There are actually such glasses, even when its not the first - not sure about the stuff think geek is selling though.
No, the site is supposed to look like that now.
Don't worry, it looks like the moon!
Forget what you wrote? We back it up wholesale!

... is to figure out how to get a date - EVER.
... over java, they can see - "Lets just ask the man who invented Java"
What world are you living in?
The topic is something else here. If you have a cause someone will care, but not in this thread.
"Analogies are useful for explaining complex concepts to people"
If you are Sarah Palin.
"Everyone remember: Google promises that they will do no evil, so you know it's true. After all... they say so."
Actually No - they don't. If you cared (and read this) you would then bow your head in shame and go look up what was actually really said.

Say what now?

Saw the first one - terrible...
He doesn't have people skills, and that makes him sad.
Yes, its amazing those idiots don't get that.

No, you are just and idiot - it has huge value.
"I own over 200 games on Steam."
Except you don't OWN anything - you have paid for a very restrictive license to be able to use those games under their rules.
"I can play any one of them anytime."
Right until they say you can't - and they can legally, and if they do you can go fly a kite, because you sure as hell don't own anything.

Maybe the did, maybe they didn't.
