Couldn't you use mod-perl to rewrite urls on the way in and the way out, that way no direct urls exist.

I've been using a Logitech cordless mouse man for years, and think it's fantastic.
Especially with my laptop, I already have more than enough cables snaking around on my desk.
Ergonomically it's wicked phat as well.

If your suggesting that there is a single thing in America not turned into a marketing free-for-all, or that has not sponsored a rock concert I ask you for examples! Nothing is beyond mass marketing in current N.American culture, and this is right at the top of the 'well to dos' wish list. The ability to buy a predesigned child. Fits nicely with the breast implants and liposuction that we already indulge in.

I have administered/used many PC based Non Linear vid. systems. My 2 favourites are the Miro plus cards running with Premiere 5 (fantastic product) or the DPS perception/hollywood if you need component output. Premiere 5 is more than adequate for any realistic need (including chroma key with Ultr-matte's plugin). I have used the Perception set up for animation, and found it to work great! you can render directly to the perceptions own hard drive (using its hardware compressor on the fly!!)
