  2. High demand for few positions on Which Programming Language Pays the Best? Probably Python · · Score: 2

Having many years in python, I am constantly being contacted from people across the country for python jobs. In all python jobs that I've worked, almost every other developer has very low skill, and little to no experience as well, so it's a very easy market to succeed in. When I am actively looking for work though, Java and PHP jobs way outnumber the python jobs, and Java always has the highest salary associated (this is Baltimore/DC area)

  3. BS! An arrest is not a conviction. I was arrested for DUI (even after blowing a 0), taken to the station, blood-tested 0 there, and was STILL charged. Had to spend a lot of money on a lawyer to get the bogus charges dropped (they have about 20 different ways to phrase "driving whilst intoxicated", and each one carries a charge). Still shows up on my record and will for years (even though the state dropped the charges). I can only imagine if my name and picture were also smeared all over the media.. I'd probably never get a job again, due to police officers' overzealous incompetence.

To 'swap everything out' except the scanner would mean all processes would have to be locked - (read: this means FULL SYSTEM FREEZE), also note that any virus can simply modify the code which does this check to not do it.

A full dump of ram will require, by definition, swap to disk, and some parts of ram must remain mutable (processor's cannot act on things not in ram/register). At 80 MB/s with 16G of ram... I think you can see the point.

By stopping everything and trying to write everywhere, and computing whether it succeded, This seems to be an over-glorified "Detect if parts of memory can't be modified". Spoiler alert: Always true. Try to write to memory 0x80 (must be done inside kernel - else it's virtual)

In July 2009, at science fiction convention Readercon, a flyer was distributed for next year's Readercon, saying This IS your father's Readercon. This did not appeal to many fans, who feel that fandom is already sufficiently focused on old men to the exclusion of women and the younger generation. Oh wow, somebody used a play on words on the phrase "This ain't your fathers...". Somebody notify the UN about such horrific treatment to women!
