My Optical drives don't start until M and the mapped network drives go from Z to V, that would really confuse them;-|
There are many thoughts on where the pagefile should reside, some say that you should have them only on C others say that you should have them on all drives/partitions but I prefer the seperate partition theory, that way you use the whole partition for your pagefile and nothing else.
Depends on who you speak to, if you can a seperate partition solely for a pagefile is better as you can then set it to use up the whole partition and not have to worry about fragmentation.
There are loads of users out there that are stupid enough to rename files and forget to leave the extension intact, so they create files called xxyy which they later cannot open because they do not know which program to use when asked.
There are also lots of users that never ever create folders, I know some of them personally:-)
they just put things wherever MicroSnot decides it should go.
One of the things I always do when starting a new machine is to Partition the disk into at least 4 partitions: 1. System, 2. Programs, 3. Data, 4 Pagefile
I try to stick to that but there are always some programs that like to dump their data where they feel fit.
if there was no compatibility for a mouse, you'd be pissed off.
Something like that pissed me off with Vista, I have a Trust KD200 keyboard and none of the extra buttons would work (media etc). Contacted Trust who said they would not be issuing Vista drivers for it.
BUT under Win-7 it works a treat:-)
so Microsoft have done something better at last, there are a few applications that don't work but those that I have found so far are saying that they will be bringing out Win-7 patches when the OS is ready for general usage.
Well the USB charger that I use for my Mitac Mio will not charge MY N95-2, unless Nokia are using different pins for the charging, and if that's the case then maybe things should be standardised.
I just remembered when I had a RAZR that wouldn't charge using the Mitac charger, so maybe it is the MITAC one that is not standard.:-(
Yes, I found that problem, I also have a Mitac Mio A701 which uses the microUSB for both charging and connecting to PC, and it will charge when connected to the PC
