    and yet when they go all out on a system like this, they don't even choose one as the system drive?
    How very inconsistent.

    Except Tom's Hardware neither designed this system nor was it the purchaser of the system. So I don't see what the inconsistency could possibly be.

    They started to install Gentoo on it but unfortunately they are still compiling the system.

    He said it was "what we call irony" which is correct. Slashdot posters call lots of things which are not irony irony.

    Yeah, I know hence why I made my comment. To call things that are not ironic ironic is ironic in and of itself.

    Well then you've thought wrong. It has numerous audio and video filters that are available to use during both playback and during decoding/encoding.

    let me play devil's advocate. An internal investigation says I did something. I get canned. They let everyone know I was fired for this behavior. One problem... I didn't do it.

    Except in the case of this guy being fired he did do it. So your case would be hardly analogous.

    The dispute revolves around the firing of Noonan in January 2006 as regional sales director of Staples after an internal audit determined that he had overbilled the company in expense reports, failed to submit required receipts, and falsified expense reports, according to the appeals court's Feb. 13 ruling.

    The dispute has nothing to do with the reasons he was fired, because they are true, but the fact that broadcasting them out is claimed to be defamation.

    Forcing the legality of gay marriage in Massachusetts (Mass. supreme court vs. majority of the state's voters, I believe.)

    You mean more like upholding the guarantees of equal protection under the law that is guaranteed by their own constitution?

    Possibly Prop 8 in California, depending on how that state's supreme court rules.

    Prop 8 was nothing more than an initiative by the Mormon church to use it's influence illegally for political means. The thing should be revoked.

    From some individual states' perspective, Roe vs. Wade

    States are not "the people".

    You know, I'll own up to not knowing that it was exactly 47% of the earth that was covered with water. I actually thought it was a lot closer to 70%, and, apparently, so does Google, so its a common misconception. I wonder if one of us isn't counting ice?

    The summary isn't saying that 47% of the earth is covered in water. It is a poorly worded attempt at saying that 15% of the respondents got the answer right, while 47% got the answer approximately write. TaeKwonDood is just shitty at writing English.

    Did you even read the article you linked to?

    In fact, Kennedy's statement is both grammatically correct and perfectly idiomatic, and would not be misunderstood in context. The urban legend is not widely known among Germans of that time who consider Kennedy's speech a landmark in the country's postwar history.

    I know people don't read the articles in the threads they post, but they could at least read the stuff they link to in their own posts...
