    I've worked in quite a few languages. COBOL is no more and no less a magnet for lazy developers who can't be arsed to write comments than any of the other languages I've used. As for free form comments what is the difference between * in column 7 then whatever text you like or // and then any text you like. There is godawful poorly documented code in every language, regardless of how amazing their commenting facilities or column independent syntax might be.

    If you scroll by touching just the right edge it works fine. Anywhere else on the screen and it doesn't work properly.

    It's a sign of having a long-term memory. Microsoft spent a couple of decades misbehaving terribly, hence why they were prosecuted in both their biggest markets for monopoly abuse. That they are behaving better finally is good, but, like all habitual criminals, it will take a long time to re-earn people's trust.

    Galaxy S3 32GB internal + a 64GB SD card gives you 96GB. There's a 64GB model due out this year some time as well if 96GB isn't enough, and neither option is the outrageous ripoff that iDevices are with regards to flash storage.

    Or you could buy a phone that allows you to add an SD card for far less than the ripoff price that Apple expects you to pay for 64GB of flash storage.

    The GPL is about the freedom of the end-user not the developer. The GPL removes the dependency of the end-user on the developer to release fixes to the code. GPL code can't be closed. BSD code can.

    Microsoft code is littered with technically correct but utterly useless error messages. Key not found in dictionary is another annoying one when it's thrown in code that you don't have the source for like CRM 2011. Which key would that be then? One of the 25 that I've just passed to you. Oh ok I'll just remove each one until the error no longer happens, that's a 21st century solution *rolls eyes*.

    Doing a shitty little web site in Wordpress for a local business is not the sort of coding we're talking about here. The idea that you don't have to write efficient code is quite frankly hilarious. I bet your websites are a real joy to use.

    Which IT is simply clicking icons and plugging things into other things? There's still plenty of coding required even in my Dynamics CRM role and that does have a lot of clicking icons and dragging and dropping.
