This may seem to be true but it is always helpful to the community as a whole to have the watchdogs around. Never trust a for-profit corporation because they are for one thing: profit. This is not to say that a company can't have good intentions, but who really knows the truth? Only the higher-ups and the shareholders. This is why the community must always be on guard. I see no harm in that kind of an attitude.
This is a strange issue. Just saying it's about restricting free speech, cracking down on child pron, outlawing bong-making, or identifying anarchism is limiting the issue. What is at stake here? The ability to have FREE speech. Should we be restricted if we are on someone else's property or using their property to perform the act of "free speech"? Lawmakers seem to think so.... Corporate "suits" seem to think so as well. The general populace (citizens of the U.S.) seem to agree.
Look back a few decades. This is what states, schools, orphanages, mental hospitals, and other institutions thought about their property. For the most part, that has changed. Should corporations be exempt from free speech issues? Should corporations have more rights than the individual?
I've gotten to the point where I don't even think of the "Internet" as something seperate from my computer. The network is as much a part of my computer as my hard drive is. Addiction to computers and technology is a different story...
WRONG. _I_ don't want cheap/free PC's of low quality. _I_ don't want a free ISP. _I_ don't want a free version of popular software just because it's "free". _I_ want free software when it's better than the commercial proprietary version of it.
In the end, it's the corporation's ass that they care about. That's it. That's all. That is what _I_ despise.

There are browsers that don't use tables for layout either. Do you accomdate them? Probably not if you're using tables for your layout. If CSS is used properly (not CSS-P), the page is easily legible by any browser, including Lynx.
The specification suggests that you do not use tables for your layout. That isn't what they were intended for. Do a little research and learn yo'self some CSS. It's much better at layout than tables (understatement) and much more advanced. One of the points of Gecko is that it will hopefully support CSS-1 in full.
If you have ever used or seen someone using Neoplanet you would realise that it is nothing more than an advertising tool. Animated ads constantly flashing in the peripheral and you have to use their start page. The only thing Neoplanet offers is a customizable UI...for a cost.

This joke is getting old now
$ seems appropriate
I don't think someone downloading the development kit would want an office suite with it. That would piss people off - myself included.
And maybe that was the point of my original post.
Now that's a good attitude. By the way, _who_ is really doing the whining (notice spelling) here? Looks like it's you buddy...
I have a new respect for France.
Remember - it's corporate vs individual rights.

Oh and AFAIK the database is queried before the complete page is sent. It's constructed and then sent.
That's a good point, but that only speeds things up on the client end (not counting the few bytes taken up by the table elements themselves.)

These were also known as the Micronauts in the United States. They spawned many toys and a marvel comic. God I loved them....

All the information and images you want. From Creative's marketing department, of course.
How many times are you guys going to post about this?
