Im sorry, but Obama doesn't try. He doesn't actually stand up for anything with actions, only with words. He could veto every bill put in front of him he disagrees with. He didn't end the "wars", he didn't help pass a functional health care bill, he didn't do shit in my book. He didn't act as our voice at all. Instead, he caters to his corporate overlords as bad as any Republican previous. Im not even against corporations in general, but I am against pussies like Obama who continually avoid making a stand until its re-election year. He should have done everything he claims he is trying to do now 3 years ago. You don't know my father so this may mean nothing or you or you lack context, but he is very conservative, morally and fiscally. He actually genuinely believed Obama would make some changes for the good, and he was let down. Turns out he is all words. Look at how many presidents wielded executive authority for the better? Why couldn't Obama do it? All it takes is some backbone and a helping of balls. Bush did it to the detriment for our society, and I suspect Bush is working with an IQ of 80. I suspect the answer to my question is a poly-sci thesis waiting to happen. However, regardless, Obama has failed to live up to his promises, and has failed the American people. You can't put it all on him, since Congress men and women as a majority are also doing the same shit, but I expect more from someone wielding as much power as he has.

I see nothing wrong with pepper spraying people when someone is in danger. It probably wouldn't have gone to court as easy but it would have been a similar penalty. If I find a wallet that contains someones ID in it, and I just pocket the cash, then sell their wallet off to someone else, I am a thief. Its pretty cut and dry, as this phone probably had contacts or other information on it the person could have used to find out who owns the phone, or if they didn't want the burden of finding this person, they could have given it to the bar management, or given it to the police. This person knowingly pocketed someones property and actively avoided trying to give it back (I mean wouldn't you expect that the person who lost the phone would check the bar making it easiest just to give it to management?), then tried to sell this property. Frankly, I think he got off light on this which I suppose isn't a big deal if he didn't have a record.

Its one of the easiest degrees to get in college due to the constant dumbing down of college programs, and its accelerated by the number of people that pick it due to a misconception that business degrees will make you a lot of money for little effort. "Dude! You mean I can do easy homework, make teh big bucks some day and hit keggers every night! Bad-ass!". I sincerely wish business programs would start actually demanding MORE out of people rather than making it more accessible to idiots and burn-outs. It used to be a prestigious thing to have a business degree, as it was hard. Now its like 4 more years of high school with classes about "feelings" and barely any math beyond what you need to balance a check book and draw pretty pictures, and sometimes not even that.

Because it is true. The majority of technology purchases after the most recent release date are done by early adopters, those with disposable income that also have absolutely no practical sense. I agree with you, there are reasons which may make such an upgrade feasible. For example, I am in the market for a new phone since it has been 2.2 years since I upgraded. Unfortunately phones are not upgradeable unless you purchase a whole new one. I am not an Apple hater, in fact their product is on my list for consideation. I myself have recently purchase a Macbook Air because it is Unix based, which enables me to use many of the applications I want, it is thin and light, and it has a great battery life. It actually was a better price as I determined for myself over other options. However, most other Mac products are crap in comparison to their price. Their interface may be pretty, but it actually doesn't increase its functionality at all. I use to own a Sansa device with as much functionality as a Nano. Apple product "superiority" is an illusion. Their most cost effective products are the basic ones from them. Once you add a simple upgrade like RAM or a hard drive, you get your ass reamed out. This is inexcusable, and I am ashamed I even purchased an Apple product to begin with out of principal.

Sure, a person has the right to spend their money as they see fit, but spending it like a fucking idiot still will garner my disgust. Either ignore me, or chastise me but I don't give a flying fuck either way since I have a right to my opinion, and I don't give two shits about yours.

Apple is the only one making tablets? This is not revolutionary, sorry. It is to be expected. Sure, the movement is towards mobile computing, any two-bit CS college student can tell you this. The funny thing is, I own a Macbook air because of various features that it has. I.e. Unix based so I can use all the Linux software I want, and still easy to use GUI. The problem is that Apple makes their products seem scarce artificially. They have tried to seem like a small "for the consumer" company, they try to seem like they cater to their "elite" customers whims, they have a reputation for producing products for the wealthier, their advertising tends to portray Mac users as some kind of savvy elite class, and then even though they know their products routinely sell out, they don't even bother to try and get production up so it will accommodate demand. Im sorry, but Apple products are over-priced for what their actual costs are. Apple has the highest profit margin of any company because it doesn't sell its stuff cheaply, and it does so by over-limiting supply and over-inflating demand.
