8 cores = 2-3 cores + 4 GB for the game's cpu and memory requirements and 5-6 cores + 12 GB to model a GPU with dedicated memory access. Not sure if GPU modelling has ever been done before, but I bet its possible with that much cpu access and memory. Games used to run with software graphics acceleration back when I was in grade school. I remember I bought my first dedicated graphics card back in the Voodoo 3 days and could start selecting "Hardware Acceleration" in PC games.

When voting apathy gets out of hand the government may decide that "Hey, no-one is voting anyway, maybe we should just have property owners be the only people allowed to vote", then the only people who would be voting on this would be people who didn't give up on it.

The Korean student that dropped the course is very suspect since certain iPods, i.e. the most popular one, have the capability of browsing the web and chatting with friends. I would wager that she has someone she knew she could cheat off of by chatting with them. There is no other reason to drop considering a new electronic dictionary is cheaper than an iPod the majority of the time. You can give them an acceptable list of calculators and electronic dictionaries. I had to buy a special calculator for the FE exam and 100-150 dollar textbooks for all of my Physics courses in Undergrad and I was perpetually poor in spite of these expenses. I didn't even go to an expensive university and I was in-state. I don't see why these students shouldn't be able to afford a different electronic dictionary that cannot be used as a cheating device. Its supposition based on how Muslims from various parts of the world get all worked up over stupid shit. Look how many Muslims protested around the world over 50 people threatening to burn Korans. This is people protesting something happening over 5000 miles away to a book in such wide print that it doesn't put a dent on the numbers of Korans in existence. Not to mention its not even something happening two blocks from their house. I am getting tired of people claiming tolerance when they are so intolerant. I do not believe every Muslim is like this, but a significant portion of them are. Suppose I decided to build a shrine to "The Holy Warriors of the United States Armed Forces". If I built it here in the US, some people would be upset, some people would laugh at me. No-one would tell me I couldn't build it if I chose an appropriate location and followed city ordinances. If I built it pretty much ANYWHERE in the Middle East I would have a shitload of Muslims pissed off at me for doing so and I would probably wind up dead. So, even though in principal I agree that there is no reason a Mosque should not be built near Ground Zero, I also don't like hypocritical crap that people spout out. In particular, people seem to think you have to be more tolerant of Islam "just because" when its as ridiculous as any other religion in my book. Why should it get special treatment?

Most Apple fanboys will say "Oh yeah, well it wont last as long" but that is simply not true. Not to mention, these same dickheads buy a new Apple every two years anyway.

MacOS and the software it comes with actually are quite good, way better than Microsoft alternatives. Linux can be very good as well, especially the free software available you can download direct from repositories through your GUI. Since so many people contribute to Linux as a platform it seems to me that its very hodge-podge. I think that you have to be much more educated than average in computer science before Linux becomes completely useful. Don't get me wrong, I can use a Linux command prompt and do all the time to run code on a cluster, but it sucks having to read through pages of documentation to do something that should be simple. Ive run into problems with various software many times that I had to wade through documentation to get results. That being said, I have an Ubuntu system I use regularly.

HP makes products that work as well. Asus makes products that work as well. Acer makes product that work as well. Apple doesn't have a monopoly on making decent computers at the hardware level. Apple just makes prettier looking ones (and HP is 90 percent caught up in that regard with the Envy's) and pairs them with a great OS. I actually really like MacOS, but I simply do not want to pay 500-800 extra dollars for a computer that it supposed to work with. Throw in garage band, and other iLife software, maybe you could consider it a 350-650 difference. Still, MacOS is simply not worth that premium when you don't have a money to blow. Until Apple drops prices you will see the majority of people purchase PC's from manufacturers that use Microsoft OS'es. If Apple charged less of a premium for their products over PC's you would see people flock to Macs in such large numbers that Apple wouldn't even be able to keep up. I promise I would buy one.

What if you do not agree with copyright law? Should we not disobey unjust laws? Im not saying download every new release and not pay for it. What I am saying is that media companies are literally trying to control every path you get your media from. If they had it their way you would have to buy the DVD, and then also buy digital copies for your computer and then after 5 years you would have to renew your license to view it. Meanwhile, if you show your video to other people in your household, you would have to pay a "viewing fee". You could not simply rip it off your DVD to watch it on your computer or let your friends borrow your movies like most people agree is fair. Media companies do not give a rats ass about fair use of their material, they just want to nickle and dime every aspect of it. I actually purchased many albums in the past, but one day all of my CD's got stolen. Should I not be allowed to download these songs again? I already paid for it once. Copyright and I.P. law is flagrantly corrupt. Everything is derived from something else, you are able to produce your works, are inspired to create your works, and profit from them because society exists. You owe your work back to society at some point.

Any computer connected through a router, or wireless router to an internet connection could be the offending machine. Too often this law is abused by sue happy lawyers trying to extort money from people in settlements, since it costs way more money to defend yourself than to just settle. Even if you did absolutely nothing wrong you still may be forced to settle for financial reasons.
