There are lots of places that are broken down that the US hasn't even touched.
And has there actually ever been a need to touch any of them? Other than for oil, of course. My country gets along just fine without being in war all the time, as do most other european countries too (apart from UK, but thats where US comes too...)
Who says they were an educational utopia? We're talking about a basic schooling system or nothing at all here.
And since when Afghanistan government has knowingly allowed Al Qaeda training camps and such there? Afghanistan as a country never was involved in any of it. But USA pretty much declared country against them and destroying the whole country completely finally, instead of just handling it clearly without collateral damage.
Yes, the conflicts and problems that were caused by Americans way before 9/11 too.. USA supplied middle-east and the surrounding areas for long to fight the cold war with Russians and trained the people to fight. It just backfired as they're the terrorists now.
Yeah it works if you know what you're doing, but usually swap file is there for a reason. For example any of the recent games would lag to shit if OS couldn't put the other things to swap file while you're gaming.
I would actually really like something for while I'm lying in sofa. Even if its just for browsing web or remote desktoping to my main pc. I use PC->PS3 streaming to my tv, and if tversity or something else needs updating, I really hate to get up from the sofa and walk to other room to do that. Yeah, maybe minor, but still quite annoying. But the web browsing (even if reading) is a good note too.
I do have a laptop too, but it's not really usable for those things, while tablet would be. You can easily put it on the side or table. Of course, I would really like to have good battery life with it, if it's for random usage like that. But maybe quick stand-by does the trick.
I did wonder why the article never mentioned Nokia and that it looked completely different than their previous products. Wonder where that was even pulled off.
Geolocation based on ip WHOIS data is even more unreliable tho. The WHOIS data is just what the registering entry put there, usually office or dc location or similar. For some reason maxmind geoip db and such really are more accurate, for example they see my city while WHOIS data just points to ISP's address (and this can be thousands of km's away).
There are always some weird cases of course, but generally they are much more reliable. Hell, it could even be in another country (and I've seen it); ip WHOIS data is just what organization registered the ip block.
Well, in that case maybe laptop is better for you. But it doesn't mean its for everyone. I have a comfy L-shaped sofa and enjoy lying on the _ part of it, having my back against the wall. Laptop on that is ok, but it isn't as comfy as tablet (and you usually need a mouse too - yeah, hw thingie, but still). Tablet you can put against your legs, or keep it slightly in air with your other hand. You can also easily and lightweightly put it on side to watch some tv and so on. I'm not looking for a laptop replacement - I'm looking for something to have on sofa thats comfortable and nice to use.
Because they are the wrong kind of people those publishers want (ie something that makes them money), but they also don't want to give content away for free.
One Apple employee who recently left the company also told the Times that the interface won't be anything expected. "You will be very surprised how you interact with the new tablet," the former employee said.
Sounds interesting tho and if they combine that with multi touch, it could be a perfect device to use while laying on sofa.
“What were we going to do and how would we screen people? If we weren’t comfortable we wouldn’t let a flight take off.”
Why are they still following flights and such so closely, while leaving all the other ways open? It wouldn't have the same effect this time, because terrorists just go for emotions of people to get their message out.

Unless you were a Christian. Or a Jew. Or a woman. Or believed in a slightly different form of Islam.
You really think US went there for any of those reasons?

And what does their thing have to do with US?
Acting like a world police again..

Do you need an explanation of this in kindergarten level?
There is 30 people in your class;
Out of those, 29 of them make a joke about 1 of them.
vs
That 1 boy makes a joke out of those 29 people.
Is it a same situation?
What does it have to do with anything if its a term? It's still a racist term. Even the wikipedia article says its offensive.
Or you know, you guys could just stop breaking shit up.
Can someone explain what mirror.co.uk is then? Some tabloit newspaper? Anyhow, as the poster below showed, there are more sources too.

It was down before story too
It's a memory card. It's not a hard disk. It's not RAM. Memory is perfectly fine word in this situation.
If you hate swap file, disable it and see how your computer works then.
For once, the article submitter isn't lying!
Move to Russia, they celebrate it 7th January. If they released it now, you could actually get it for this years Christmas.

It's not Nokia who's making this, and Nokia actually has a Linux phone.

Notion Ink seems to be its own company.

I couldn't agree more with you. Pulling the info from ARIN is the best way to go, considering I live in Europe.

It isn't as simple concept as just "give away free content, make lots and lots of money by advertising", even if everyone always assumes so.
Because they are the wrong kind of people those publishers want (ie something that makes them money), but they also don't want to give content away for free.
... will be only $1999!

He should really stop using such high-tech to fly around unless he wants to get shot down by anti-missile systems.

Seems like hysterical thinking for me.
