What are you talking about? Apple ships a JDK1.3 compatible JVM standard with Mac OSX. They are embracing java (somebody else's idea) just as much as anybody.
I am currently employed in the telecommunications industry working on a SNMP administration tool written in Java. We started with JDK1.2.1, moved to JDK1.2.2, and are now developing with JDK1.3. With JDK1.3 our application blazes onto the screen in under a second, whereas with the earlier versions it took substantially longer. Good work Sun! Blackdown, I can't wait for the port.
I've been doing some Java development and can't help to notice really how good Sun's javadocs are. I don't know about anyone else, but something similar to this would be wonderful for the LDP.

Adtran makes a product called tracer that sends the equivalent of 2 T1's full duplex for something like 5 miles.
