  1. I'ts possible without new hardware on Ask Slashdot: Gaming With Only One Hand? · · Score: 1

I'm able to grab a play station controller or a xbox controller with only my left hand and play that way. I basically learned to use the left analog with the little finger and the buttons with the thumb. The triggers are a bit tricky but many games don't need them that much. I play mostly RPG's, and turn based games but I'm able to put a good fight even in games like marvel vs capcom. As for FPS's, I've found it easier to play in a laptop using the touchpad to aim and touch to fire. Most of the keys are reachable with the default settings but you can always use custom keyboard settings. Just don't give up, you will get used to it in no time.

  2. Big deal on Man Tries To Live an Open Source Life For a Year · · Score: 1

I guess I live an open source life since long ago and I'm a programmer so it's not as if I barely use my computer. I guess my house design is open source too since it probably was randomly done and you are welcome to copy it.

  3. Less Paul complexity passwords on Your Passwords Don't Suck — It's Your Policies · · Score: 1

I recommend less paul passwords, you know, the google doodle guitar thing. just pick a song you like, and learn how to play it in the keyboard. If you are good enough you could even throw shift as if it was a sustained pedal. Its very easy to memorize (if you pick a good song), entropy should be enough to make dictionary attacks void and the length will throw brute force attacks off. Just be sure to pick a fast paced song since you will most likely type with the songs tempo.

  4. Bad move on Mozilla Leaves Out Linux For Initial Web App Support · · Score: 2

Terrible move on mozilla's side, even if most of their end-users are mac/windows based clients a good part of us web developers use linux. I least I know I ain't developing a thing for the store as long as there is no linux support, not because I don't want to but because debugging would be too hard over a virtual machine or whatever.

My bet would be on one of the botnets, you need a hell of processing power to take down and hack a sony server wich was prepared to serve 77 million users. Besides the FBI has recently been bulling them...

  7. 2 Hours or less on Trying To Lure Suckers, Company Resells Open Source Blender · · Score: 2

Want to create Pixar and Dreamworks In 2 Hours or Less? Easy! just ripp off this already free software, then ripp off some illegal Pixar models on the net and you are set! BEAUTIFUL Animations With Minimum Effort...
There's no way to make a decent animation in two hours, unless your movie is based on a bouncing ball in a squared box, heck even that would take more than two hours in blender, Producing 3D Animations & Graphics Ha[s] Never Been THIS EASY

  8. From Guatemalan point of view on Giant Guatemalan 'Sinkhole' Is Worse Than We Thought · · Score: 5, Informative

I'm from Guatemala. This is actually the second (and smaller) sinkhole. The first one was located not too far away, http://conred.gob.gt/galeria/fotos/fotografias-de-incidentes-1969-2009/640x480Hundimiento%20Barrio%20San%20Antonio%20Zona%206%20102%202007.JPG/image_preview and happened last year. However, earth just doesn't open, first huge rumbling sounds begin, then, after a couple of weeks, earth opens. Also, we have already pinpointed possible new sinkhole locations, one which is barely 200mts from the last one. Now is just a matter of time to see if the government does something, which is unlikely.

  9. Bury the media and the media player on Thanks For the ... Eight-Track, Uncle Alex · · Score: 1

You can bury any medium and a way to play it aswell, lets say, a cd and a disk man, as for music goes, or maybe magnetic tape and bet that some company will still have ways to read it, since its useful for backups. Depending on your budget there is a bunch of stuff you could bury to play the media you bury, or go for a top tech of nowodays wich should be partially old 10 years in the future,,,
