    Not that I think a redesign is necessary for the current architectures - Windows, BSD, Linux all scale nicely to at least 8 or 16 logical CPUs in the server world, so the 4, 6 or 8 on the desktop isn't a huge problem. But in 5 years when we have 32 CPUs on the desktop?

    IIRC, Linux can scale up to 256 AMD CPUs or 32 Intel CPUs and 1024 CPUs in a cluster (possibly more by now)

    Nations other than the United States of America? Nations which don't use English as the language of commerce and teaching? Nations which are not based on European culture or otherwise have majority white populations?

    Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Russia, India, Brazil, Cuba, Canada, and others. (oh, wait Canada is all of what you said you didn't want)

    I have not used a consumer switch in ~2 years. I have been using a Procurve. (almost forgot that managed switches can become hubs via port mirroring)

    An SSID named "enter_and_your_hacked" is far too tempting to hack and fix the grammatical error.

    So change it to "Enter and you will be cracked"?

    but that requires physical access to the wire (which is usually in the wall) and access to a 10/100 hub (not a switching hub)

    Mine is "Private2.4", "Private5.8", and the FON is "FON_FREE_INTERNET"

    I did not say I bought it when it came out. I got it ~2 years later and put it on a IBM PS/2 clone.

    Windows 7 will run on computers Vista could not run on. I have a ~5 year old desktop that is running Windows 7 Professional, but it couldn't run Vista very fast. It is only a single core 2.1GHz computer with 1GB of RAM and a 320GB HDD.

    I remember buying Windows 3.1 and I am only 21. It never needed a upgrade at all.

    Assuming that everything genetic can be explained as having an evolutionary purpose, does anyone know of an evolutionary purpose to a large group of people having a different schedule than everyone else?

    Maybe they are suppose to be the stronger of the genetic pool and replace the weaker day walkers?
