    Could be the phone thinks it is smarter than me (and actually is smarter than you). For example it changed "thinks" to "things" in this post, but I happened to notice it in this case.

    You underestimate the roll of stupidity in the equation. There are plenty of people with money too stupid to figure out what Trump is and can't see that he literally is a sociopath who doesn't care about anyone but himself, or that every single move he makes is about trying to convince himself that he isn't the pathetic loser every intelligent and informed person on the planet can plainly see he is.

    I didn't add "... without introducing complexity people can't understand and won't use" in my OP, as that should be assumed by any moderately competent security professional to kill the idea. Given that caveat feel free to make your case. I'd love to hear what I missed actually.

    Actually I belong on Slashdot, so I know what a checksum is, and I don't use the word to mean "some technique I don't understand so I'm going to call it a checksum." Clearly that is not the case for many that come here today.

    They aren't analyzing MP3s. If you record a song played through speakers and picked up by a microphone then converted to digital no two MP3s will have the same signature.
