I learned BASIC by typing out a clock with an hour and minute hand that strobed from a magazine, it was the most disappointing (no minute hand) and yet exciting moment of my childhood. Two days later I was told that Santa Clause was a lie, between Santa and the missing minute hand it was a disappointing year for a geeky 7 year old.
I guess I don't see this as an answer so much but more like the star trek communicator from the original series. First there was no privacy everyone could hear you second how did you dial, what you just start talking and assume everyone who needs to listen is listening. But this was a great idea because took geeks like us in new directions of thought and reason. Would I use it, hell no it looks complicated and inflexible but someone smarter than me might use this as a platform for further leaps and improvements.
Windows 98 first edition kinda disappeared, ME haunts my dreams and makes my nightmares look happy. In 5 months there will be Vista to regret and make fun of, hell why wait!
My god, by my calculations of net degrading the net should be completely dissolve by the year⦠oh my god 2012, so this is how the end begins, with a delightful Chinese delicacy! The end of the world can now be official blamed on China, weâ(TM)re doomed!

When I think of all the emotional, religious and social responses that run through me when I watched that was, LOL!
